Bernadette & Luigi met living in New York City years ago. He’s a Neurosurgeon and she’s a NICU nurse. She is sweet and he is funny. She is full blood Irish and he is full blood Italian. They wed in Sedona yesterday among the Red Rocks and their friends who traveled afar. I couldn’t be more obsessed with my job and the intimate spaces I get to be in with people who were once strangers and now friends. #sedonawedding#hannahrosephoto#destinationwedding
Tomorrow Bernadette & Luigi will wed while the rocks of Sedona look upon and gaze with gladness. This morning we photographed at sunrise. For only 5 minutes the sun slipped under the clouds to peak out before hiding again for the rest of the day. It feels good to shoot in Sedona again😍 #sedonaredrocks#engagementphotos#hannahrosephoto#sunrise

My sweet friend who lives in Santa Barbara @alexisirelandflorals started her own floral company a couple years ago.. she is dominating the mom life and juggling a full time floral business. She is that kind of person when you walk into her presence you feel at peace. She is calm and kind and strong. I wish you all could know her. #florals#studyabroadfriends#hannahrosephoto

Rounding up those final Christmas card family sessions this week before Thanksgiving!! Some say it’s the most wonderful time of the year... and I️ cannot disagree with that one! Especially when it’s sunny out here in Arizona around the holiday season. ( that’s a big change from the Midwest holidays I️ grew up with!) #arizonasun#familysession#hannahrosephoto

There are very few words that have so changed my life than the words of Prof Doll. I met this man while studying abroad at an art school my senior year in Orvieto, Italy. Whenever he spoke it was with intention, a hint of poetry and philosophy, and a lot of creativity. I have many many direct moments over five months engrained in my mind where his words shocked my system of thinking and created a new path in my brain.
After a month long project we worked on, we had a day for critique. Now if you have been an art student you know those days consist of highs and lows because you put your whole heart into your “homework” then your prof and classmates make their critique on it. Once we finished I privately walked up to Prof Doll and asked him “Did you like my piece?”. He dropped his pencil as he would do often if he thought something was ridiculous. I asked again, “Was it good enough?” He looked at me in the eye with kindness and spoke something to a deep part of my soul, “That’s not why you are here, to impress me. In the past you may have felt the pressure to create art so someone would approve or give you a stamp of approval. That’s not what art is about. You are here to create freely.” Friend, if you are anything like me, somewhere along the way someone or something has told you the standard of creating. I pray Prof Doll’s words will sink in to you like they did to me. I pray the world of instagram doesn’t hold you back from creating something that doesn’t “fit” in your industry standards. I️ pray you don’t seek anyone’s approval before posting an image. You are here to create freely.
This image was minutes after my conversation with Prof Doll. Italy I️ miss you and will be seeing you very soon.

If I could photograph at the beach everyday I would!!! This Sayulita, Mexico wedding was unreal. The gem color tones, cliff ceremony over looking the ocean, and the vast humid jungle made this wedding one to not forget. Look to my story for more! #sayulitawedding#hannahrosephoto#ocean#mexico
