I've spent a lot of my life living in reflection of a select few years. I bound myself to the hurtful parts of my past, and not where I had done damage but where it was done to me. It hasn't been until these last few months that I've realized just how self-focused I really was. All of my relationships with people were victims to circumstance, not to my own hands - though truly that's where they faltered.
I've been around this place a good amount, and want to see it more and thrive better. I have been getting by in what seems like success but what has actually been a selfish state of delusion. Accolades and money defined my goals, and I let a lot of people down.
If it weren't for faith, several second chances and selflessness from others I wouldn't be where I am now. In all of the beauty the world has to offer, it's easy to forget being thankful and humbled.
My humility came in the form of honesty that caused me to break down and see myself at 25, not as a hurt kid anymore. Over the largest ice fields I'd ever seen yesterday, in the midst of all the negativity that seeps its way into our daily lives - there is a presence of calm in what's to come for all of us.
I have always wanted to uplift others through my work, but failed to focus on those close to me, even myself.
I feel a bit like this iceberg I saw in Iceland capsizing, its dirtied white top prominently thrust into the air outside the water, turned completely on its head to show a brilliant aqua color ricocheting across the land.
Be thankful, be honest, be faithful and be honorable - the mantra for my turned-over leaf.
It is more important to be a man of your word, than a man of many.

Glacierview, Alaska might very well be the most beautiful small town in America, and with incredible vistas like this it's easy to see why. It's the perfect place to go view the fall colors, and to enjoy that fresh mountain air. -- near GLACIERVIEW, ALASKA.

A rare shot of yours truly with @taluscreative’s Stone’s Sheep. Few things rival hunting and exploring the heart of BC for 2 weeks with a friend.
