It's been gray and dreary in Eastern Washington lately, so this morning before the rain started (again) I went for a quick hike through the slush and the trees to catch a few glimpses of color. 🌲
I spent a few hours at the wildlife sanctuary after that helping to prepare everyone's dinners, and by the time I got home I had just enough time to wash the stink off of me before we needed to be at the bowling alley 🎳 to help celebrate my guy's coworker's new job (in Joshua Tree!!).
We ended the night with a viewing of a new short film on the Profanity Peak wolf pack, whom were killed by WDFW last year in lieu of a rancher who refused to take necessary precautions with his cattle. There's a whole lot to the story, but I digress. The viewing was followed by a panel discussion I helped facilitate, which ended up turning into a great discussion on predator conservation efforts and what's currently taking place in Washington.
Then we grabbed some burritos and took our happy butts home. 😋
After all that you would think that at 1 AM I would be dead tired and asleep, yet here I am awake and still ready to take on the world. 💪 Just don't ask me how I'm feeling tomorrow....😴 #staywild
Well, Daniel and I survived our flight home ✈️ I honestly can't believe that, after a lifetime of being terrified of planes and flying, I ended up loving it! We actually got seats next to the emergency exits on the way back, which means we had heaps of leg room 🙊
I LOVED Queensland, but I am so happy to be home. I have heaps of recipe and DIY projects that I'm dying to make, not to mention that declutter and reorganisation that I would like to give the house. After staying in such a lovely and minimal style hotel room, I definitely notice our clutter a lot more 😅
Hope you're all having a wonderful week, however you are spending it. Feel free to leave me a comment about how your week is going, or what your plans are for the weekend! I'd love to hear about them 😊
