We need comprehensive policy change now. The phrase "thoughts and prayers" has been overused to the point of trivialization.
We need to outlaw assault rifles, ban bumpstocks, crack down on the black market and gun show loopholes, create a national gun registry, implement licensing and screening similar to the DMV (as many argue that people kill people), require gun owners to have insurance for their guns and carry liability cards, create nonpartisan programs to educate youths on gun ownership.... But most of all, we need to expose elected officials who have accepted large sums from the gun lobby. Those who profit off the corpses of their own people are the first to offer thoughts and prayers as solutions.

This is such a powerful speech by Emma Gonzalez, a Parkland High School survivor. I had to share it, I hope you listen to it! ~andrea
A few shots and clips from working with the crocs and gators today. This is my second training session with Aries, the croc in the first photo(rhombifer/niloticus). He is doing remarkably well with training and can be very calm and mellow, when worked with correctly! I also did some training with the gators, if you listen to the clip you'll hear me calling names and teaching the animals to associate their names with a reward. Crocodilians are incredibly intelligent animals, I love working with them!! I can't wait to see how well Aries does over time. People often ask how one species compares to another but to me it truly is an individual basis, I don't like to make assumptions or generalizations and treat each animal as an individual.
