Well after 4 and a half years I have finally served my last sausage roll and made my last sandwich at Cooplands! I have worked with some of the nicest, funniest and craziest people I have ever met that have given me some great memories that I will miss dearly! However I’m so excited to move on to make the next step in my career in accounting 😁 here are just a few photos of the last 4 and a half years ❤️ #newjob#cooplands#meautoparts#accounting#amazingmemories#nomorepastysmell#biggirljob

YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT!
It is common for people to hear "I will credit an account" and think any account that is being credited is receiving money.
Well NO! When you use credit in the context of what is happening to an account then the nature of the said account determines if credit means "giving money to" or "taking money away from".
If an account is an asset account, (e.g cash), when recording in your books you don't credit but DEBIT!
Confusing right ? Blame it on our Accounting fore fathers 😀.

Two years ago I made a decision that changed my life, I registered myself for a part-time accounting program at BCIT. My path wasn’t easy, but at the same time BCIT gave me new friends, new mind and strength.
I was dealing with high education in a language that is not my first language, dealing with a mix of emotions that I can not even explain. And today on my graduation 🎓 day I just want to say THANK YOU for all the support received during this journey especially from my family and friends, that didn’t let me quit. Now is time to continue working towards my dreams and never give up!!! 🇨🇦
