HEY! Don't forget! You are a CHAMPION!!! "The Champions Creed"
I take full responsibility for my rising & for my falling.
I don't beat myself up nor do I beat up others.
When I make decisions I live with the results & don't play a victim.
With the power that is within me I seek above all things wisdom & discernment.
I fly high & sometimes I crash but the total race is the goal, not just one episode.
I know when to push & I know when to pull back.
I give it my all & I love others even when they don't.
I am a Champion!
My strongest words are I did great & I'll do better next time.
Step UP! BE more!
BE the Champion our world needs today!

Some of our Grace House loves! School is back in session which means our day program is in full swing, too. Pray for Rosa, Iliana, Joice, Carla, Aurilene, Andreza, and Vandreina as they love and serve these kids. Pray for Christ to be the center of all they do. Pray for these kids to experience the Love of Jesus. While bellies are filled and brains are taught, may their hearts be the primary focus ❤️

Beautycounter Red is here! •
In celebration of our 5th Anniversary, we are proud to introduce a bold new lipstick that embodies our mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. Perfect for all skin tones, this safer formula delivers vibrant red color and a satin finish with a touch of fresh peppermint flavor.
This March, we’re going to Washington, D.C. to urge Congress to pass more health protective laws for the personal care industry.
Did you know?
Ingredients used in personal care products aren’t required to be tested for safety on human health. 😱We’re working to change that. (Great time to also talk about lead in lipstick and our heavy metal screening policy).
When formulating our products, we prohibit the use of over 1,500 harmful or questionable ingredients.
Show your support:
Text “BetterBeauty” to 52886 to ask Congress to act.
Wear the lipstick and tag a photo on Instagram @beautycounter with #ThisTimeItsPersonal.
HELP spread the word of our movement by sharing Beautycounter Red with a friend. For a limited time, buy 2 and save $10.
How to purchase?
Go to the link in my bio. @kellyphlipotjones When they’re gone, they’re gone. I’m purchasing several RIGHT NOW! This movement of safer skincare products is why I teamed up with Beauty Counter!

Your donations do not just go into a bank account somewhere but are deposited into the lives of children who will become adult medics and teachers and mothers and fathers. The opportunities you give to children who are refugees directly affects who they become as adults. #wearePartners
"My name is Naw Mar Dar and I am studying Grade 12. My village is located at the bottom of the mountain and close to the main road. Most of the villagers are farmers, including my parents who plant mostly betel nut trees and some rice. I have five siblings -- four brothers and one sister. My youngest brother and I are the only two of us that go to school. He is in second grade. The rest of my siblings help my parents with the farm in order to earn enough money to send my brother and me to school.
They sacrifice a lot for me.
When I was in first through fourth grades, I studied in Noe Ma Roe Village. In fifth through eighth grades, I studied in Kei Klaw Village. Now I am studying at Ler Mu Lah Township High School because my family could not afford for me to continue studying at the same school. The school I am at now has a dormitory provided by Partners and the school is supported by the community so I am able to continue my education.
After I finish high school I am going to work as a teacher in the primary school in T’Naw Three Township because they don’t have many teachers there. In general, there is a great need for teachers in this area. Eventually I would like to continue my education by attending medical training. I am very interested in this training because deep down in my heart I want to be a medic to help people."
We are so pleased to be able to co-host a course in meditation and mindfulness with @meyogakw. Beginning with some very gentle restorative yoga to prepare our bodies and minds to be open for calm, Mandy will teach us how to invite more ease into our way of being. Many of us talk about change; here is another opportunity towards embodying change. It all begins with a lovely deep breath.

🚨 Warning: GRAPHIC CONTENT🚨
We try not to post this type of content very often, but sometimes it serves as a necessary reminder of the harsh reality of the poaching crisis. #neverforget ・・・
Photo by @martinbuzora. *WARNING* Sensitive content. It was early dawn when Lewa Conservancy's anti-poaching team received a call that an elephant was shot near Leparua settlement in Kenya. I was woken in my tent and hopped in the back of an anti-poaching vehicle along with the vet and security teams, having no idea what awaited us. When we arrived on the scene, a local Samburu elder led us through some bushes and into a small clearing, where an adult female elephant was churning up the ground with her massive feet. She had fallen from a gunshot wound the day before, and had been writhing there for over 24 hours. In the end her wounds were too severe, and she did not make it. In cases like this it is the responsibility of the Kenya Wildlife Service to remove the tusks and safely transport them to a government vault in an attempt to keep them off the black market. The first step in this horrific de-tusking process is to remove the trunk of the elephant. This was one of the hardest days of my career as a documentary filmmaker, and one of the most harrowing. Hopefully my images catch enough people's attention, and make them ask more questions not just about the plight of elephants, but the state of our planet as a whole and our role in it. Please support organizations like @forrangers whose sole purpose is to train and equip Africa's rangers on the front lines of wildlife conservation. .

Why meditate twice a day? Because it’s great for us. Because we’re restoring our memory of wholeness. Because it connects us to a community vibration. We meditate in the morning to set a stable foundation for how we want to approach the day. We meditate again after the busiest part of our day so we may invite stress we’ve accumulated during the day to gently release from body-mind. And, all we have to do is sit down and close the eyes. #namaste#meditated#meditatedaily#releasestress#feelgood#bethechange

In the wake of last week's horrific school shooting, I am reminded of a quote by the Dalai Lama: "If every 8 year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” I believe that this is an attainable goal.
If falls upon each one of us to lead the way for our children to follow.
We do that by changing ourselves first.
Let your children see you meditate. Let them ask questions. Meditate with them. Make it a routine.
For every child that learns meditation, the world takes another step towards achieving peace.
It doesn't end there. We also need to teach our children about gardening, sustainable, conscious & compassionate living and healthy eating.
If we can keep our kids bodies' healthy, we can keep their minds' healthy and off of these terrible psychotropic drugs that contribute to the violence.
For me, this is not "pie in the sky". This is mission critical, and it can be done.
We can achieve peace, but we must work together for the betterment of all humanity.
It all starts with how we are raising our tiny humans. - Tom
Sadly not many animals are this lucky, to escape and have a positive outcome...
"A cow has been living alone on an island, attacking anyone who comes near, after staging a miraculous escape on her way to a slaughterhouse.
The animal made her bid for safety last month after she refused to get into a lorry taking her to be killed for meat. Instead she rammed a metal fence before making a dash for the nearby Lake Nysa, south Poland.
After the cow’s "owner", known only as Mr Lukasz, attempted to get her back to the farm, the cow broke one of his worker’s arms, according to Polish news show Wiadomosci.
She then entered the water and swam to one of the islands in the middle of the lake. Mr Lukasz said he even saw her dive underwater on her way.
After a week of trying and failing to get the cow back, Mr Lukasz gave up and began making sure she was fed enough food to stay alive instead.
When firefighters used a boat to get to the island, the cow swam about 50 metres to a neighbouring peninsula. Pawel Gotowski, deputy commander of the fire brigade in Nysa, said the animal was frightened but healthy.
A vet called in to tranquillise the animal told Mr Lukasz he had run out of gas cartridges, and that it would take several days to get new ones.
Despite the farmer considering having her shot dead, a political leader in the town of Nysa, Czeslaw Bilobran, has reportedly said the cow will live out her life in peace.
Politician and former singer, Pawel Kukiz, raised the animal's plight on Wednesday in a Facebook post in which he offered to pay for the “hero cow” to be saved from death.
“She escaped heroically and infiltrated the island in the middle of the lake, where she remains today,” Mr Kukiz said, according to Polish news magazine Wprost. “She did not succumb to firefighters who wanted to transport her by boat and she was still on the battlefield.
"I am not a vegetarian, but fortitude and the will to fight for this cow's life is invaluable. Therefore, I decided to do everything to cause the cow to be delivered to a safe place and in the second stage, as a reward for her attitude, give her a guarantee of a long-term retirement and natural death.”"
On Saturday, February 16, 2018 at around 6 AM ::Gentle Yentle (Cindi Lou) took her last breath & said farewell to this world. She passed away at home, loved, comfortable, peaceful & with dignity…
Yentle was lounging in her blanket nest. Her breathing became somewhat labored, yet everything felt very calm. I got into bed with her, I put her on my lap, held her, smushicorned her, she looked up at me, it was a coherent moment of loving clarity - (Yentle has canine cognitive disfunction #CCD akin to dementia), I looked at her, with all the love I have :: she took a deep breath, that very deep breath…..the breath when life releases itself & then, like that, she was gone.
We sat there together like that for a bit…it was a peaceful moment. The other dogs began to surround us…
Gentle Yentle Cindy Lou with her little side unicorn swagger hop was Light. We will forever honor her light.
Yentle beat the odds. She got a second chance to be pain free & loved madly… Gentle geriatric Yentle : the super senior, was our teacher. YENTLLLLLLE, you taught us all about Canine Cognitive disfunction & so much more. You made us stronger and braver and showed us what it means to be a survivor and to truly be fearless. You took us from apprehensive and a little nervous to confident and unafraid.
We all have this one life & our job is to make it spectacular, and you, Yentle, were nothing short of spectacular. For the time that we had the privilege of knowing her and loving her, she got her dignity back & found a family here with Synergy & Lionels Legacy. The truth is, her body was very old & very tired… (continue reading below or on FB)🦋
Rp from @compassion_cult One of few to escape given a second chance from Hades.
We all love these victories.
None of us like what happens in there to any of them.
I wish one day to report the last #SlaughterHouse closing.
Then i could Log out forever.
Until then. #WithMyLastBreath#VOICEforTheVOICELESS
