Bumped up my caloric and macro intake today and ran into the problem of poor planning throughout the day leading to late night serving of #secondbreakfast .♀️.
Eating to gain muscle is hard AF, for the record. Because it's not just about eating more. Believe me, I could hit my daily calorie goal with my eyes closed if I ate like garbage. Turns out, when you have to hit your #macros too, it's significantly more difficult. And you have to be more dialed in than when you're trying to lose weight. .♀️.
Any change to your diet is difficult. I got comfortable in my last calorie plan, I knew what to eat and when. This 200 calorie jump with be an adjustment, for sure. And while I'm looking forward to getting super lean in the spring/summer, I'm not stoked about the major changes that are required for that body.
For now, I will embrace my inner Hobbit. .

WOWZA!! Leg day is NO joke!! During these workouts, yes, it's hard. After the workouts, it's harder. But it's all WORTH IT!
You don't get the body that you dream by just thinking about working out or eating what you want. You have to EARN it!
Every day, I'm earning the body of my dreams one sweat sesh at a time.
Does it hurt? Yes!
Do I ever want to quit? Everyday!
But is it REALLY worth it? FUCK YES!
I can see the difference in my balance, stamina, strength and focus in just these 5 short days!
If this is how I feel in less than one week, psssshhh, I can WAIT to see how I feel in 6!

✌🏻 choices: make moves or make excuses. I didn’t sleep, work was challenging, I may have cried one or 50 times today. But skipping a workout wasn’t going to change any of that. In fact, it probably would have lead to even worse things. So I suffered through 20 minutes of leg day when it finally all clicked. My emotions could either control me or I could control them. I chose the latter and had a MUCH better workout. I may not be able to walk tomorrow, but it’s a sacrifice I was willing to make for the greater good 🍑🙋🏻♀️🍍Besides, there were a TON of brand new leg moves that is never done. That always makes for an interesting workout, right?!
It’s not a big bump but it’s there 😍 I feel like I am less bloated in the morning and I can really see how much my love is starting to poke out.
Tomorrow morning I am starting to shift back into workouts - at least some yoga 🧘🏻♀️ I have some muscles in my legs & under my booty that are starting to get super tight & I want to make sure I keep everything stretched out as things continue to get tighter over the next few months.
So glad that I have a variety of workouts to use at any point in my life & that I can do right at home. It’s going to make having a fit pregnancy so much more doable 🙌🏽

Lil’ life update for you guys:
•TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY I HAVE WORKED OUT IN 46 DAYS!! 🙌🏻✨
•I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF THAT I DID NOT QUIT, COMPLETED A FULL BODY WORKOUT, AND PUSHED THROUGH EVERY DAMN SET! •Yes, my mental health has taken priority over lifting.
•I have been enjoying my time away from the gym.
•I’ve learned that not everything has to revolve around the gym or lifting.
•I will be starting physical therapy within the next month or so.👟
•I will stick to my schedule of lifting.
•I still can’t walk on my foot, so crawling, hopping, and hobbling is in my forte for the moment.🤷🏻♀️🙄
•Just pointing out, I am not being lazy, as I was called already, it’s called taking my time... and other priorities have taken first place over the gym/lifting.👌🏻🙃
