"Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent"

I'm getting bored of my music at the moment so I would appreciate some suggestions for artists that you love so I can add it to my playlist!

“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”
Its not March, but I have loved this quote for a long time now. Also I have come to realise that it doesn’t have to be March to feel so. Its the places. The places determine how you feel not the weather.
This is a monument in Jaipur called, Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). It has around 953 windows, hence super windy, and it was constructed for the Royal Women/Princesses so that they could look down at the street and watch the festivities/day-to-day lives of people.

I’ve been debating on rewatching Game of Thrones once I get the rest of the seasons! I’m fairly certain I’m getting them for Christmas but I’m not 100% positive 😂
Candle is from @stardustcandlestudio 😍 her shop is closed right now but once it reopens you can use my code STARDUSTREP for 15% off!
The one difficult thing I learned this year is this:
People in our lives are like the letters of the alphabet. If we are fixated on finding love from A, and if A doesn't care and is insensitive towards our feelings, then in that process our relationship suffers with everyone from B-Z. In short, it just takes one person to break us, but it's an option really to break. And it's another option really to cherish the love given to us by B-Z.
Also another important thing which helps in staying positive in this entire process is the reminder that no matter what we go through, there's always someone out there going through worse.
My ABSOLUTE favourite book that I read this year, possibly my favourite book of all time (minus the Harry Potter series). Aristotle and Dante’s story completely captivated me, so much so that I could barely put the book down for meals and would’ve gladly forgone sleep to keep reading. Highly, highly recommend giving this one a read! 💙
What the hell did I just find? Well, well. As everyone knows, my opinions here are always strongly subjective. I know she has done it to cope with her own son being sick, but I still find it weird that Lurlene McDaniel has seriously written dozens of books about kids with very much or little more fatal conditions. I definitely wouldn’t recommend any sensitive person, for example myself going through her whole list. I read a few of those yesterday. A rose for Melinda tells about a girl who wants to be a prima ballerina, not a leukemia patient tied to her bed. Jesse Rose has been obsessed with her since first grade. I’d really worry if I heard about a 14-year old kid building his whole life around existence of a girl in real life. But yeah, if you are a fan of romance, and want a good cry, you might want to try this author. I’d recommend jumping to some cheerful text after it though. #bookphotography#bookstagram#igreads#readersofinstagram

With Christmas approaching I've been asked what I want or need.
If I answer this question from the heart and truthfully, all I want, all I've ever wanted was to be happy.
Not a short lived euphoria because of a person, place or thing; but an unshakeable inner happiness not even the Grinch could take away.
Christmas came early this year when I decided that I would be just that - I would be happy.
Friends - make that choice to be happy, it really is a choice. Actively seek out the positives in your life. The more you find the more you will attract, it is universal law.
Be safe, be kind and pursue the happiness that you desire.
Here are just some of the books on my TBR. But most of them will have to wait until next week because they’re all packed up 😱 Someone remind me why I decided to choose a hobby that takes up so much space?
“There is a small monster in my brain that controls my doubt.
The doubt itself is a stupid thing, without sense or feeling, blind and straining at the end of a long chain. The monster though, is smart. It's always watching, and when I am completely sure of myself, it unchains the doubt and lets it run wild. Even when I know it's coming, I can't stop it.”
Sometimes a book hits you really, really hard. That was Eliza for me. I have never read anything that speaks so brutally but honestly about anxiety. Something that makes me say “she gets it.” Well,Zappia, she gets it.
Eliza was one of my big surprises this year. But I am so glad I read it. It was a story I needed to read. Even if it wasn’t an easy book to read.
Did any of the books you read this year impact you in a strong way like that?

Best May Read // #bookishrewind17
Who are your favorite sassy characters?
High up on my list is Mister Kindly! His banter with Mia is the best and his constant bickering with Eclipse in Godsgrave makes for some of the best conversations in the book! I do have to admit I was a bit let down because he’s not present for a while in Godsgrave…
(But that book man. There is only one way to describe the ending and that is RUDE.)
Some other sassy characters I love:
✨Will Herondale and the majority of CC’s Shadowhunters really
✨Ronan Lynch (TRC)
✨Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles) ✨Nik (Gemina)

I was down to three books to choose from for my next nonfictional read out of which I picked Memoirs of a Dutiful Daughter. The beginning has been fascinating! I am excited to read more.
I hope that everyone is having a good week.🌸
“The books I liked became a Bible from which I drew advice and support; I copied out long passages from them; I memorized new canticles and new litanies, psalms, proverbs, and prophecies, and I sanctified every incident in my life by the recital of these sacred texts. My emotions, my tears, and my hopes were no less sincere on account of that; the words and the cadences, the lines and the verses were not aids to make believe: but they rescued from silent oblivion all those intimate adventures of the spirit that I couldn’t speak to anyone about; they created a kind of communion between myself and those twin souls which existed somewhere out of reach; instead of living out my small private existence, I was participating in a great spiritual epic.”
Simone de Beauvoir, Memoirs of a Dutiful Daughter
What device do you use to take photos?
READ BELOW if you want to know what devices I use/editing apps/filters. I'm still learning how to use my camera since I seem to have forgotten everything I learned in high school and refuse to read the instruction manual 😅 But the majority of the time I either use my iPhone 6S, seriously makes taking flatlays so much easier) and I also use for photos I take kind of in the moment, or Canon Rebel T6 as of lately. Almost all of my photos are edited through vsco and I primarily use the A6 or E1 filters then I adjust all the lighting and saturation in the Instagram app. That's basically it!
