It’s #loveyourpet day or something like that, but let’s be real...I’ll take any opportunity to post glamour shots of Harriet. Look at those EYES, y’all.

Today I taught my first palette knife class with the Sawnee Association of the Arts! I loved sharing my absolutely favorite way to paint with others. I have a few spots left in my next class on Saturday March 3rd. Message me for details or see the events link in my bio. 👩🏻🎨 🎨 #paletteknifepainting
• current • I get stuck in my head a lot, and it prevents me from creating and feeling confident in my work. I get so worried about always creating beautiful work and creating success and comparing myself to others. It's hard not to compare. I'm trying to push past it, but its hard. I feel like there is this imposssible standard that I can't reach, but I know a lot of the pressure comes from myself. I feel a lot of uncertainty. • 🌼 #letitgo
I needed a wee break from the Paris painting on the easel. So...my Chief-Executive-Farmer swept me up and we took a little ride in the farm truck, stopping here and there to take photos of cows and lambs for spring paintings. The babies are already arriving — wee little goats and calves smiled for the camera — and six sweet cow gals. The adventure was just what I needed to rejuvenate the creative spirit. Back to the Paris painting tomorrow. Here’s one of my favorite paintings from last year’s photo shoot! “Tweed”

In celebration, I had to visit the @nmaahc this weekend. It was definitely a rich experience - one full of life and legacy! I love that my birth month happens to be black history month.
I spotted this gem - The One Cent Savings Bank (now: Citizens Savings Bank & Trust Company) founded in Nashville, TN in 1904. It is the oldest operating African African bank in the country.

🚨A new Seamless episode is up!☝️This woman was the 6th hire at Galvanize, a technology and startup co-working and community hub that is nationwide in major cities.
She took this baby from 1 location to 8 as their VP of Strategy and Development. Thanks to @1871chicago@google@galvanizehq we got to sit down with Brady and chat what the last few years have been like building community, the
keys to scaling community, and what is next for this boss! Head to our link in bio and give it a listen.
Hint, hint: she's starting her own entrepreneurial endeavor. We can't wait to become customers ourselves, learn what it is by tuning in!

Three generations of wedding memories together in one frame, Rebecca, her parents, and her grandparents. The first days of a marriage legacy separated by decades, together in one photo. I love when little moments come together like this 💕
You want to hear about how my sewing machine broke or about this beautiful Cleanse Mist from @courtneyandthebabes? Welp, you hearing about both. .
Clear Quartz absorbs, stores, releases and regulates energy and Rose Quartz is all about the self love. Juniper Berry is great for releasing accumulated negative energy. Lavender has soothing and balancing properties and lemon is purifying. ‘Scuse me while I douse myself ✨🙌 bye negative energy.

Grateful for small things , big things and everything in between.
This was my first attempt at flowers and I can still remember the hesitation and uncertainty when I was painting. Obviously it wasn’t so early on in my painting journey that I felt like it was garbage and needed to go directly to the recycling bin.
But it was early enough that I remember feeling like I wasn’t that excited to paint, I felt shy and unsure, actually. Things have changed a bit since, because now I pretty much can laugh at myself when things don’t go the way I planned and I’m generally excited to experiment with new things.
Getting here wasn’t so straightforward though and it took some work. Work that I didn’t intentionally set out to do. It just kinda happened.
A fellow creative asked me what my creative process is and it wasn’t until I really thought about it that I realized it is everything that gets me to the point of feeling excited to just make stuff. It’s that process that got me from feeling timid about painting it “just right” to not caring if it looks crazy the first few or more times I try something new.
I wrote about what my current process looks like on the blog (link in profile). But what I’m more curious about is what your creative process is! Do you have one? Care to share? 👇🏼☺️

Over a year ago we started ideating on how to address this tv area. It was bare, forgotten and the FIRST thing you see when you come in our house. (Swipe to see before) We were expecting and both agreed we needed this space to do a whole lot more than it currently was. Many moons later, it’s FINALLY done. Come see exactly how we went from 😟 to 😁 on Francoisetmoi.com . #handmademodernhome@francois_et_moi
