We remember when we first started this trip.. @szymoneye 's parents were skeptical and my mom thought I was crazy for doing something like this when we should be focusing on our "careers". Now that it has been 6 months and we've shared dozens of photos and stories with our families, they ask us if they can borrow the Van for a few months after we get back. 😂😂😂😂
It's amazing what happens when you break the conventional mold and do something you're passionate about... It even changed the minds of our tradition loving parents. That is what we hope to do; inspire others that what you dream is possible, to explore the vast landscapes of this beautiful planet, conserve natural resources while minimizing our carbon footprint and help others along the way. 🙏💙✌
We arrived at this campsite in Cotopaxi National Park early-evening, and we couldn't see a thing through the clouds. We knew there was a giant volcano peak somewhere off in the distance. Imagine our surprise to wake up to this sight outside of the van.
We managed to have a look round the outside of Exeter Cathedral while we were in Devon. Both of us love architechture, and Izzy's years studying Medieval buildings came in handy when looking at the designs on this structure!
Toot toot. Back home today after a whistle stop tour of London seeing friends. We will be back in April for the marathon where andrew will be running like the wind for Phab Kids charity. I’ve added a link to my bio for his donation page, donating even £1 to this great cause would make a huge difference to disadvantaged and disabled children. Link in bio👆🙌
As the furniture is getting closer to being finished the more and more anxious we are to get exploring! We do research in our spare time and talk about all the places we want to see along the way. Today we had to set off on a small hike to ease our craving for adventure 🍑🌿
It is so easy to be unaware of how much water you use. When we first moved into the van, we would run out of water nearly every day (10 gallon fresh water tank)
8 months later, we’re able to make that water last over a week (even though it did require Katie climbing into other vans and watching people do their dishes with minimal water to learn how). We are SO MUCH MORE AWARE of how much we consume, not just with water.
