It’s too cold to go anywhere, I shall take my Manhattan in bed, thanks.
Custom bar for the home of one of our favoritest’ looooong time clients @jrsteakman. Sweet little number that rolls out to become an all-in-one #barcart and then tucks neatly back into the wall when not in use. #martinihour🍸
#hubbiepost Since @mothetikimug got his own page he's been "otherwise occupied" when it comes to holding my large-format beverages. A man has needs, so for the time being I have enlisted a glassware option...
Top Notch 🌋 (Adapted from #smugglerscovebook)
✅ 2oz Plantation 5 Rum
✅ 1oz Plantation OFTD Rum
✅ 1oz Doctor Bird Jamaican Rum
✅ .5oz Lustau de Jerez Brandy
✅ .5oz oz Plymouth Gin
✅ 2oz Fresh Lime
✅ 2oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
✅ .5oz Passionfruit (I used Maxy's Tropi-Mix Liqueur)
✅ 1.5oz Demerara Syrup
✅ .25oz Maraschino Liqueur
Method: Shake with crushed ice to chill; pour unstrained into your 32oz snifter or tiki bowl of choice & top with additional crushed ice.
Garnish Option: Pineapple shoots, orchid & of course, no 🌋 is complete without FIRE!
So, I did some modifying to this recipe. I added the Brandy, Gin, the OFTD & pulled back on the maraschino liqueur. What can I say? I like my 🌋 with some ☄️💥🔥...
A special thank you goes out to @maxymixalot for sending us a care pkg a while back. That tropi-mix is amazing stuff and I LOVE using it in place of passionfruit! Thank you so much!
Join us in congratulating @rosacoste of @violethourchicago on winning our Holiday Cocktail Competition in partnership with @barenjagerhoney! Her cocktail, Dance of Dragons, featured Barenjager Honey Liqueur, Smith & Cross Rum, Amaro di Angostura, Falernum, lime and mint, and was inspired by Italian Christmas desserts reminiscent of the holiday spirit of her upbringing.
Her prize: a custom apron from @luciotailoringco and a set of 25 custom designed strainers from @bottesi.bag for her and her bar team!

The Americano was first served in the 1860s at Gaspare Campari's bar in Milan, Italy. It was originally named 'Milano-Torino' because of the origins of its two primary ingredients: Campari calls Milan home and sweet vermouth is also known as 'Vermouth di Torino' or Italian vermouth.
It was renamed to Americano because its popularity with American tourists around the turn of 20th century. What is less known is that Americano also spurred the creation of Negroni. Count Camillo Negroni asked a strengthened Americano with gin at Cafe Casoni in Florence, Italy.
In my version of Americano, I used chocolate infused Campari @campariofficial , Cocchi vermouth di torino @giuliococchi andd top with soda water. Stay classy! .
