Warning: mom bragging ahead. Today, like all days, I'm super proud of my daughter. She works really really hard ALL the time at EVERYTHING. She does nothing half way (well except mayyyyybe flossing). She was chosen by her classmates today as a person who exemplifies the character virtue of #discipline. Never in my life has anyone ever described me as disciplined so she has already far exceeded her mother's accomplishments. Well done mija. Well done. After 2-1/2 years of sore hips it’s about time I did something about it! I’ve been a carpenters apprentice for that time, and I love every second of it except for my tool belt. Well today that changed, my @atlas46gear Saratoga Vest came today!!! This thing is super heavy to pick up with my tools on it, but once it’s on it feel light and comfortable. Looking forward to work next week to put it through some proper testing.

Went to the doctor to get blood work 💉 done and everything was fine, so I guess that's good.
I'm missing training so much right now though... :( This winter has been very hard on me because every time I've finally been seeing progress I get sick...
I'm trying to stay positive and focus on how I'm going to conquer my goals once I'm feeling better though. What being sick forces me to do is really plan out how I'm going to move forward, which in some respects is a blessing. A setback doesn't have to be a complete loss. We can't control what happens to us, we can only control how we respond and adapt to it. And even if your setback could have been avoided, it's in the past and all that matters now is how you move forward. I don't think any other advice has helped me more than learning to let go of the past. But at the same token learn from it.
Bible, No Excuses, Journal, marriage class notes and veggies... this is life... getting tapped back into The Vine has been a painful process... facing things head on and dealing with things that even go 25 or so years back... baggage that came into our "perfect marriage" that's never really been perfect but has been overall great, things that have kept me from fulfilling my full potential, things that got me to my lowest point in life... things that at the time didn't hurt anyone... things that led to a divided life... one 📦 a total mess and the other 📦 near perfect to the outsiders looking in... the more I peel back the more I'm falling in love with Jesus and truly repenting not just 98% of my heart but surrendering all to Him... I John 1:9 is really true and no matter how bad things are in your walk He's waiting to forgive you too... 5 days ago, I was frustrated with a lack of results after a month of (what I thought was) hard work. I had been working out, I was stronger, I could do more reps and lift heavier weights. So WHY wasn’t I looking much different?? 😕
As it turns out, working out while still choosing to eat complete garbage will not give you the visible changes you want! Who knew, right? 💁🏻♀️ •
So I committed. I committed to 80 days of the hardest workouts I’ve ever done, the cleanest and healthiest I’ve ever eaten, and more discipline than I thought I had. I committed to having control over cravings, over negative mindsets, and over my own fitness journey. 💪🏼
Today, I am 5 days in and completely obsessed with this process. I cannot WAIT to see where the next 75 will lead. ☺️
Lower back was bothering me during squats so I switched to arms. This was the first time I’ve done any form of bench since I hurt it and my left pec felt good! Still not benching after this though LOOOL 😂😅
