Artist Performances (TBA), music by VNPRT, raffle prizes, food, drinks & more.
Seeing high school students across the country take over the gun control debate since last week’s tragedy has been inspiring. Forget all of those stereotypes about millennials being self-centered and apathetic: This is a generation raised on Hunger Games and Harry Potter and they will stand up for what is right. The United States won 11 Gold medals, 6 by African Americans, and 4 by Owens himself. The 1936 Olympics were held in Germany and a huge embarrassment for Hitler. What was true then is true now; we are the beauty of our people, our colors, and our diversity.
