💢Tight Neck And Shoulder Month
If your neck is SHIFTED (forward) or you notice that you are staring to get a really rounded mid back this mobilization is going to be step one ☝️ in helping to correct it .
This modified 🐈-🐪 still is going to mobilize the cervicothoracic junction [where the neck and back meet] and the upper thoracic spine. Restoring proper motion through these vertebrae is the first step to restoring better structural alignment and posture
It will be impossible to make any postural corrections until we are able to move and then strengthen the muscles around these vertebra .
If this is an issue for you:
✅repeat this drill twice daily for a couple of weeks
✅two sets of ten reps should suffice
✳️if it hurts or you are having trouble targeting / moving these joints yourself ⤵️ DM us and get some professional help

Gradually over time you can get rid of the structural changes contributing to that dowager hump by correcting Core Problems in the spine and nervous system

This photo shows I identify with my culture, but it doesn’t mean I am entirely aware of my parents history as a Tamil from Jaffna (living in Canada). As a lifelong learner with a growth mindset I don’t want to culturally appropriate my OWN culture (if that makes sense). I realize that I will have to do some learning and unlearning 🤓.
Oh, and this photo felt fitting for THAI PONGAL! Happy Harvesting Season to the motherland (to the privileged caste(s) that farms ... goes to the temple and sits separately from those deemed lower...at least that’s what my mom said happened in temples as she remembers before immigrating.
