DAY THREE OF DA PROGRAM AND INSTEAD OF SETTING PRs WE ACTUALLY DOING WHAT WE SUPPOSED TO DO!!! 😂 Today was a boulda shoulda and arms kinda day with an emphasis on Overhead Press (which I’m actually verrrrrry weak on 😭)! To start the day off we worked up to a 4x6 (only 115lbs for me 😅) of OHP, trying to keep it decently strict (avoiding utilizing too much momentum) in order to keep the stress on my shoulders and hopefully promote some STRENGTH GAINZ! After that we moved to some CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS and worked up to 3x4 (the purpose of doing the close grip bench is to help build up TRICEP STRENGTH, which is essential for the final lockout portion of bench)!! Then it was time for some cable lateral raises to help build some extra width to ma shouldas (we did a set of 12, 10, and 8, going up in weight as the reps decreased)! Next was time for some REAR DELT work, which consisted of some sitting face pulls for a 3x12! Finally, it was time for some ARMZ supersets, the first consisted of 3x10 of some ez bar skull-crushers and ez bar bicep curls to get dem arms to start POPPIN! Finally, we finished off with another 3x10 superset of overhead cable tricep extensions and cable hammer curlz! All in all, it was a pretty SWOLEY day! So true. For anyone out trying to owe weight don't focus on the number on the scale. Measure your self. Muscle weighs so much more then fat does, so if you started any kinda of exercise while you lose weight your going to be building muscle there for the number on the scale might not move much because yes you are losing day but your gaining muscle to it's going to balance out. Try measuring you bust/chest, waist(at the belly button) and hips(where your underwear sit) do this every week or two and you'll see the inches drop!!!

▪️ The stressors that humans encounter in modern society are much different than the stressors that we have had to deal with throughout most of our evolutionary history. Instead of being chased by a lion, hunting an animal, or fighting for our life with another human, we now are stressed by things like our work environment, bills, daily traffic jams, constant technological bombardment, relationships, poor sleep/diet etc.
▪️ Stress is stress. Our body doesn't know the difference between stressors. It is primitive parts of the brain such as the amygdala (like a panic button in the brain) which flood the brain and body with hormones and neuro chemicals to literally prepare it for 'fight or flight' in response to stress. In a threatening situation, this is very useful. But it isn't useful if we are chronically stressed and having our alarm system redlining all the time.
🔑 EXERCISE = FIGHT OR FLIGHT. Our stress response prepares us for actual fight or flight (chemically, hormonally, bloodflow to muscles etc). By exercising, we can 'trick' our primitive brain to come back to baseline by using our body vigorously. Exercise actually changes our state immediately by altering our brain chemistry, and decreases our stress level on the spot. LION = STRESS = RUN = STRESS REMOVED.

Thickly sliced 1 cup baby peas
Blanched and refreshed 6 boiled eggs
Quartered 2 spring onions
Finely sliced 90g Pilpel Taramosalata
2 tbsp whole egg mayonnaise
2 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
Freshly cracked black pepper 🌱🌱🌱 METHOD // 1. Arrange potato slices, peas, eggs and spring onions on a large platter. 🌱 2. Whisk together Pilpel Taramosalata, mayo, sour cream, milk and lemon juice. 🌱 3. Season with pepper then drizzle generously over the potato salad and serve immediately.

People think those that work in the fitness industry have an easier time fitting exercise into their schedule. Real talk..This industry is a business like everything else. I missed my workout this am due to an unexpected meeting. I have a family, two dogs, a staff, and clients that need my attention, as well. This isn't by any means easier. It's 7pm and I am making up what I missed this am. Not because it's easier but because it's important to me.
Decide if it's important enough to you and let your actions follow. We make time for our priorities.

One thing I really use to struggle with was my energy levels just getting through to lunch time was such an effort in itself. A big part of my energy levels and exhaustion was the Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma the other part was being a Mum and I’m sure a lot of mums can relate that it’s a rewarding but tough gig especially all those sleepless nights and if it’s not that it’s something else and it can be bloody exhausting!!! Fast forward and my energy levels are now through the roof (i still have some bad days but honestly they are the days where I haven’t put enough goodness into my system or I haven’t had enough water or when I have had a couple of extra beers or coffees I shouldn’t have had) But all in all life is so much better as I’m nourishing my body everyday with these little babies.... #itssimple#fruitsveggiesberries#energy#makethechange
I was scrolling through some old pictures on my phone and found this guy. This was 2016. I do NOT look exactly like the picture on the right anymore (life happened, I slacked off) but I am SO motivated to get back there! I mean I still had some work to do sure, but I was feeling pretty healthy back then!
Lately it seems like it’s almost a bad thing to say you want to lose weight or change your body in some way. As if saying that means you don’t love yourself and you aren’t accepting yourself as you are. I have to disagree.🤷🏼♀️ It all depends on intent.
Wanting to eat better and workout to improve upon health is an act of LOVE in my book. Not HATE. It doesn’t mean I value myself any less at my current weight. I’m ok with saying I DO want to lose weight and be healthier and it’s coming from a place of love for my body and feeling my best! #losingweightiscooltoo
What we created so far ,and still work hard for creating every day, together makes me so proud. It’s not always easy to make everything work when you’re two people with strong wills, stubborn minds and lots of passion for what you do. We always give our everything no matter what we get ourselves into in regards of work, education, family & friends. We have grown so much together that it’s the foundation that keeps us together in good as well as bad. Its not always easy to get the time schedules at the moment to match and It’s a bit frustrating to not be able to show you how much I love you at all times and give you the time you deserve but I’ll get there and I know we will together as well , even though I know you know it. It’s soon three years now and I’m so thankful for spending my days with you @sam.mikaelsson ❤️ You’re my rock, my laughter and my safety and thank you for being behind me no matter what. Jag älskar dig! Still my favorite photo of us cause it really paints everything about us. We are strong apart but we are strongest and unstoppable together. So Aubrie and I have been married for a month now and the most common question I get asked “is married life different?” Honestly, not much has changed. As far as day to day things go, nothing really, except I get to call her my wife now. The one thing I can say has changed was my love for her. Not that I didn’t love her before but my love has gotten even deeper. It is probably hard to understand if you aren’t married, but something special does happen when you exchange those vows. I am truly blessed to call her my wife. I am so excited for the things we have planned for our future.
