We had a great day yesterday exploring Windsor Castle. The weather was extremely kind to us and made the yellow stone of the castle really stand out. There was a great range of children's activities to get up to and Monkey loved listening to the family version on the handset. Finding the corresponding numbers at each room we visited. We have well and truly ticked off 'W' on our ABC of Castles list. There will be more on the blog soon but until then, I am really proud of this photo of Monkey. He was so nervous to meet this Century Man, he really wanted his photo taken watching others before him, going away thinking about it, coming back again to watch before deciding he was going to give it a go. It took a lot of courage to get this close! Bless him. #presstrip@royal_collection_trust
Bali= 💓 (plus amazing ☕️)! That’s right, this is a pic of a coffee plantation. What I loved about this part of my trip was the extraordinarily sweet guide who educated us on all the herbs and healing properties. Being surrounded by natural gifts and medicine provided by God—simply amazing. 🙏🏽
[ ⚠️WARNING: super long, but super important!] “Two risks related to social media are idealized reality and debilitating comparisons. Many (if not most) of the pictures posted on social media tend to portray life at its very best--often unrealistically. We have all seen beautiful images of home decor, wonderful vacation spots, smiling selfies, elaborate food preparation, and seemingly unattainable body images.
Comparing our own seemingly average existence with others’ well-edited, perfectly crafted lives as represented on social media may leave us with feelings of discouragement, envy, and even failure.
One person who has shared numerous posts of her own said, perhaps only partly in jest, “What’s the point of being happy if you’re not going to post it?”
Success in life doesn’t come down to how many likes we get or how many social media friends or followers we have. It does, however, have something to do with MEANINGFULLY CONNECTING WITH OTHERS AND ADDING LIGHT TO THEIR LIVES.
Hopefully, we can learn to be more real, find more humor, and experience less discouragement when confronted with images that may portray idealized reality and that too often lead to debilitating comparisons.”

You guys...I know that I post pretty pictures here and only show you the best of the best in my life. This is my creative space (I save real life for stories...watch at your own risk 🙈) BUT...I’m also here for meaningful connection and to (hopefully) add a little light to your lives as you add light to mine! I can’t count the number of amazing, close, and REAL friends I have made on here! I’ll be forever grateful to social media for opening the world to me. I know I can get down and start comparing myself on here too. It’s easy to do. Just remember no one is perfect and we all have our struggles, even if you can’t see it through these shiny happy little squares. Thanks for spreading light my friends! Shine on! ☀️

On the weekend we packed the trailer, filled the boot and headed for the mountains camping. Up the highway onto the back roads around mountains and into the valley at Timbarra in far East Gippsland Australia, we went for some great fun. You can see Marley playing in the river
Isla has been completely enamored with ice skating this winter, so we surprised her with lessons. She was absolutely thrilled! Her first lesson was this week, and it was so exciting to watch the determination on her face as she practiced pointing forward and marching across the ice.
How to run errands with a toddler in tow? @i_angel_ph is my favorite! check my IG story and see what happened after 30 minutes 😉😉😉 We travel frequently and we try as much as possible to bring Kara with us so we invest in gears that help make our travels easy-breezy. #iangelswelove
currently answering all your questions! but wanted to take a break to post this photo... my little gentle matador. wouldn’t harm a fly or ant in her way. this is maybe one of the coolest spots we’ve ever visited— a retired bullfighting pavilion. glad to see changes being made and a system like this no longer in use! the bulls don’t need to deal with our anger and inferiority issues 😂 the other coolest place i’ve been was probably the monkey temple in nepal and an underwater cave cenote in the yucatan. i’m sure i’m missing other favorite spots though! what’s the coolest place you’ve ever visited? tell me so i can plan to visit too!! but seriously! 😂 photos from our day in guatavita colombia are on the blog. link in profile. you can check out my adorable colombian family too. i miss them so much! very much looking forward to visiting them again soon. #ohdeartravel#ohdearcolombia#vegankids
