Focus on your goals and chase your vision. It’s easy to get distracted by things that don’t matter. After a long time I decided that I won’t be competing anytime in the near future. I want to give all my attention to school and chasing a career in physical therapy. Competing last year took up way too much time so yes it’s completely okay to change your goals.
I still go to the gym 5-6x a week, but I’m no longer over doing it in an unhealthy way. Figure out what it is you want out of life and go after it.

Today was the first day I’ve done Deadlifts in 9 months. When I started having back pain I had to give up my favorite exercise. Now most of my back pain has almost disappeared and I decided to see what my deadlifts would look like today.
I wanna tell you I came in and crushed it today! I would love to say my warm up weight stayed the same and I could still deadlift 210 easy.
I want to say that but I can’t. My back was far too weak to lift anything past 185. .
But as frustrating as it was, it was another teaching moment. I don’t wanna rush my body to appease my pride. I want to care for it and make sure it’s ready and it’s strong! .

This is Steve and he said I was amazing and beautiful.. and then after his lifts he talked more and said he use to see me at golds when I worked there and here and I was always working hard.. we’ve crossed paths before and has said nice things then too!
