Working in spine surgery NOW ALMOST 20 years-I hear EVERY SINGLE DAY PEOPLE COMPLAINING OF BACK PAIN and they come to doctor wanting a magical quick fix.. FACT: MOST BACK PROBLEMS COULD BE AVOIDED IF PEOPLE WERE IN SHAPE TO BEGIN WITH. I know people dont like to hear this,but its true. Imagine putting on a back pack and filling it with ten pound bowling balls and carrying it around daily... anyones back would hurt eventually.. Even 3 -which is 30 pounds is TOO MUCH on your skeletal structure and ur organs- the discs and bones/vertebrae eventually give out under pressure- If ur transverse abdominus muscle isnt activated and toned- YOU WILL EVENTUALLY BLOW OUT A DISC OR WORSE- but u will for sure experience low back pain. So—Stay active. Do transverse abdominus strengthening several times a week. (These exercises are super easy to do and can be do b done lying in ur bed) NO MATTER UR AGE... STRENGTH TRAINING IS IMPERATIVE-esp if you are a female over 50... (as estrogen levels start to fall around 35yo women start to lose muscle mass and bone density) SO STRENGTH TRAINING COMBATS BOTH OF THESE-its key to increasing bone density and u wont even need to take the dangerous drugs with side effects thats prescribed for that! #brillianceinthebasics#strengthtraining#healthylifestyle#health#fitness#fit#fitnessjourney

You HAVE to try this bicep workout personal trainer @julianofit1 taught me!! They are called “Seated Face Cable Curls” and we did them on a stability ball (this helps to really engage your core😃) !
We completed 3 sets of 18, 16, then 14 reps 💪🏼💪🏼

BOULDA SHOULDAS! Feels so good to be back and lifting without feel rushed like the last 2 weeks. Although something is better than nothing! I wasn’t able to hit legs twice a week the last 2 weeks either like I’ve been doing so we going for a 3-day post leg day crawl kinda workout tonight! Lol the love hate relationship of being sore! Who can relate? Switched up the burnout on this one and literally 💀 after! Workout details below👇
🔸SUPERSET: Smith Machine close grip shoulder press(8-10 regular & 5 negatives)>Single lateral raises 8-10x4
🔸SUPERSET: Upright rows>Banded rear delt flys 4x10-12
🔸SUPERSET: Seated Dumbbell overhead press>Seated lateral raises 4x8-10
🔸Plate Raises 4x8-10
🔸BURNOUT: 1 minute battle ropes x3

I’m in love with slider and weight exercises together 😍 you get all the benefits of the body weight exercise with the added weight for those muscle gains 💪🏻💪🏻 and the sliders add additional resistance with balance to really engage those muscles!!
I’d be lying if I said the past couple of weeks tracking macros was smooth sailing. I had taken a break from tracking for over a year, and getting back into the swing of things has been a process. My body has been responding so well tho, inches are coming off my waist, hitting new low weigh ins, and feeling so much more energized during my workouts! 😭🙌🏽 TRUST THE PROCESS...
