Happy Sunday friends! Having a slow Sunday morning over here— it’s been WAY too long since I’ve had one! Slept in, took the doggies on a walk and grabbed coffee, and now enjoying some French toast at home! ☕️ What are you all up to today?!! ✨ #becksliveshealthy // 📸: @808justine
Started my Sunday on a calming note with plenty of detoxifying twists and core strengthening poses in a yoga class taught by @livingminnaly and @omandthecity this morning at @fpmovement ! A while back I mentioned in a post that there are people I’ve met through Instagram whose words and willingness to share their life experiences—the good and the bad—helped me find my way through some challenging days. Minna and Jules are two of those major sources of strength and inspiration for me. So many times I’ve needed their message that we’ve all been there, that you are not alone, and that it will all eventually work out. Enjoyed finally meeting them and looking forward to their next NYC event (which will hopefully be soon)!

When at the end of a workout, you still have energy to do a high knee jump 💪🙌🤸🏻♀️
The weather has been amazing these past few weeks, with the sun and blue skies tempting us to go workout outside, but it’s still pretty cold ☀️❄️🧤(the little lake in our park had a thin ice layer on top). In Moldova🇲🇩 when referring to such weather we’d say that the ‘sun has teeth’ - makes sense!😅😂 A few more weeks and spring is officially here, so really look forward to less layers and frozen fingers when playing outside 🤗☀️🌷 .
Eat your veggies!
Took the time to prepare a few things for the next few day. I don’t meal prep for the whole week because I tend to not eat what I’ve cooked. Not just that, I want my meals to be super fresh & not sit in my refrigerator for more than 3 days. They loose flavor and nutrients like that. (No-no)
Today, I cut up organic Brussels sprouts. Added one tbsp of @primalkitchenfoods avocado oil + lots of pepper and rosemary. I roasted them on a tray lined with parchment paper for 20 + minutes at 350 degrees. I also cooked chicken, Japanese yams & white potatoes. All at once. .
What are you preparing for next week? Comment below.

What if she would have quit on her journey back in 2004, after she commitment to the process, but lost the motivation and relied on external forces to keep her going?
You're going to run into obstacles. Expect them.
You're going to forget about the commitment you made, when you aren't feeling your best.
You're going to question, why you're doing it.
You're going to get frustrated with the process.
You're probably gonna have some friends that drop out along the journey...this is YOUR journey.
You're going to have friends and family question you about WHY "you're trying to get skinny"
You're going to have to make a decision not to give up when things aren't going so well and stay on YOUR journey as long as it takes to get what you started for.
If I would have given up, I wouldn't be who I am today. .
No ONE is stopping you, but YOU. *
Remember that failure is an option, quitting isn't.
Recommit to yourself today, YOU deserve EVERY thing you desire, BUT, you have to PUT IN THE WORK to get it.
There’s something soothing about the sound of jumping rope - it reminds me of childhood ❤️🎼 A jump rope feels somewhat old-school, and we’ve all done it as kids. I still remember how as I child we’d play on our street with the jump rope, and make up different games 👧🏻🙌 Most adults leave it behind, unless you’re into boxing 🥊
What I love about rope jumping is that you decide the intensity and pace, when slow-paced it can be a great warm up routine, when rapid/high jumping or doing double-unders, it’ll get your heart pumping and leave you panting for a few minutes😅
Jumping rope benefits: whole body synchronization, upper body activation and sculpting, improves balance and motor coordination and the benefits extend even to your bones!
I incorporated it into my workout, doing 30sec of each of the jump rope variations. Some are easier to do, some are more challenging but practice makes perfect! Good luck!💪👊
