Dusk at Higgs. As I scroll back through my photos, I keep coming across shots from summer. As much as I love winter, (as I type this I’m also planning for a ski trip) seeing these photos makes me realize how ready for summer I am. Sunlight that stays in the sky until 9pm, being able to leave the house in a T-shirt with no jacket needed, and the all around positivity that comes with summer, that’s what I am ready for. I won’t bemoan about the absence of warm temperatures and sunshine, but once June rolls around, I’ll be smiling even wider.
I have been reading up (but like wooah) on young adult novels, mostly the ones awarded by the Newberry Award. Oh my, guys, they are fantastic! I love working with teenagers and discussing new ideas every week! The next one is gonna be this one: "The culture we have doesn't make people feel good about themselves. And you have to be strong enough to say if the culture doesn't work, don't buy it. " from 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. What do you think? Can the kids understand the message?😬
