Tube Stories Episode 40 is out! "What are the best settings for tube light-painting?" Link to video in profile
It always feels weird when someone asks me what ISO I used for a specific picture. This is not relevant at all, and this is what I'm trying to demonstrate in this new video. That night, we started at iso50, f22, 5000 lumens, 1 second (at 6:31pm), and we end up at iso3200, f2.8, 25 lumens and 8 seconds exposure (at 8:52pm). These are extreme values, and both ends are not creating quality results. The sweet spot was about at 7:10pm. What's important to understand here is that you'll need to adjust your settings all the way through the blue hour and match your flashlight power to have a properly exposed background. I hope this clears up everything! I've been asked about this over a hundred times for the past two years :) Check out the full video to see how we do these things
With @kimhenry.dance of course
About this picture: it's a very tricky one and we had to use nd filter on top of the flashlight to get it more dim than it's lowest power level. I did my circle in 6 seconds which is not ideal, but we found a better solution the next day (or... stay with us, we're not done with the tutorials 😅😅)_
She’s the friend that you can message at anytime of the day and you’ll surely get a reply. She’s a friend that will tell you to text her when you get home so she knows that you arrive safely. She’s the friend that lets you gush about the guy you’re crushing on, but laughs at you because you two have never even spoken. She’s the friend that reminds you that you can do anything as long as you have the guts to go for it. She’s the friend that you can talk to you about your dreams. She’s a friend that will laugh at you when you fall, but is also the first one to pick you up. She’s a friend that will tell you that she’ll punch the air out of the boy who keeps on hurting you, but also tells you that you’re such a dork for falling head over heels for that loser. She’s the friend that will tell you that it’s all going to be OK. She’s the friend that never says she loves you, but shows it with every action. She’s the friend that knows everything you’ve been through. She’s the friend that knows your deepest, darkest secrets but never judges you. She’s the friend that reminds you that you deserve so much better. She’s the friend that always says, “I got you “, and actually means it. She’s the friend that tells you that you are strong and that she believes in you. She’s the friend that is literally only one call away and down for anything. She’s the friend that wishes you would’ve met each other a long time ago so she would’ve been able to defend you from the people who hurt you back then. She’s the friend that tells you that true friendship can’t be measured by how long you’ve known each other. She’s the friend that makes you believe you can do anything. If you’re lucky enough to find a friend like this cherish them. Appreciate them. They are rare and beautiful in a world that sometimes fails to be genuine. Let them know just how special they are to you.
Today I got to went out with the aesthetic @kaarenaina for a photoshoot. Sadly I couldn’t perform well cause it’s fucking cold today and both of us ended up cursing the whole day, plus shivering like crazy, but we still have a great time together and I did my best as I could in this hell of a weather. P.S. for the first time ever, my 16GB of memory got full today and we both didn’t expect that! So this one was taken from my iPhone instead.
