Week 2 of phase 2 means we are lifting heavier because we don’t do as many reps in a row. I used to be terrified to lift heavy you guys! “I already have a ton of muscle! I don’t want to bulk up!” But what I was told then and now finally believe is that muscles burns more fat. The more muscle you have the more fat it will burn. And I’m doing a program, and eating the way I should be that will create lean muscle. Not bulk. 5 weeks completed now and my arms look smaller to me. My legs look smaller to me. My belly, most days, looks smaller to me. I’m burning fat! This is what exercise is for. To strengthen your body and help your body function better. I would rather look toned and defined with muscle on my body than skinny any day of the week anyhew. And as a plus size gal, my body can already move around a lot of extra weight. Don’t be scared to use 15, 20, 25 or more weights! But build up to it. Today I retired my 5 pound weights. I won’t be using them (I think) anymore in this program. I need to challenge myself more. So! Get out there and work up to lifting heavier!
