Sunday lunch I put together out of my last minute meal prep on Friday. A base of @organicgirl 50/50 mixed greens, ground turkey I sautéed with @primalkitchenfoods classic marinade, @traderjoes carrots spirals, and steamed Brussel sprouts sautéed with a little garlic salt. Topped off with a large dollop of @kitehillfoods chive almond cream cheese. Nutritious, filling, and super simple to pull together because it was all prepped. I was grumbling about meal prepping on Friday, but it’s always worth the investment!
This is my go-to meal right now 🙌🏼 Sweet potato toast 🍠, homemade guacamole 🥑, and wild pacific sardines 🐟 Because my dad is from Portugal, I grew up eating a lot of seafood, and this included sardines. I stopped for a while but now I’m back on the sardine train. They are a great source of protein and are packed with many vitamins and minerals. They can help to control inflammation in the body and are also one of the least contaminated fish. If you’re not a big seafood person, you may not even want to give these guys a chance, but I say don’t knock em till you try em! 🙃 #sardines

ZERO point french onion dip 🎉 AKA my weakness. BTW, I despise yogurt. Like HATE. So don’t rule this out just because you don’t like yogurt. .
MAKES: 1 cup || SERVING SIZE: 2 TBS || but, if you’re hangry the entire cup is only 1 point. 😳
• 1 cup of Nonfat Greek Yogurt .
• 1 Tbsp of Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix
• 1/2 a tsp of salt, pepper, and cayenne
• 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce .
• MIX and refrigerate in a covered bowl for 2-3 hours. .
CHIPS USED: Veggie sea salt chips || 22 chips for 2 points making this a 2 point snack! Or again, if you’re hangry, 38 chips for 4 points!
Zero Calorie Foods •••
It's time for some veggie Power 😍💪🌿 So, a lot of people are seeing Veggies as Calorie "Free" Foods. Of course plant foods have no magical calories, their calories count as well. There is no zero calorie veggie.
But non-starchy vegetables, like the 4 above, are:
➡️ VERY low in Calories ➡️ High in Fiber ➡️ High in Vitamins & Minerals
➡️ High in Water
Veggies have a very low calorie density, they are very nutrient-rich while having big volume. That's why it's always a good idea to bulk up your veggie game if you're on a diet 👙💓
However, let this post be a reminder to eat more veggies 😍🌿

Sundays are for eating. Lots of eating.
I'm only just hungry again after my huge protein pancake stack I had for breakfast at 9am.
So for a quick lunch I'm having one of the classics, avocado on toast.
With a twist.......... My avocado is avocado smash with lemon & chilli on top of my sweet potato & almond toast.
All clean food, dairy & gluten free.

Grains, greens and beans! 🌿🥗 A lot of people struggle when wanting to know how to structure a clean and wholesome meal, so here are some keys to loading up on a nourishing bowl of goodness! 🔑 Grab a grain, pick some veggies, choose a legume or two, throw in some extra goodies like an avocado or something, garnish that bowl up and BOOM! 💥👊 Colourful, nutritious and satisfying! ☺️ The real beauty about eating like this is that you can have it however you want, no limits! It also takes care of a whole bunch of macro and micro nutrients at the same time, which I guess is determined more precisely by the combos you pick! 😜 Happy Sunday fam!

Here’s the recipe 👇🏼
• 1 Tbsp creamy tahini (I use @shirleybarliving)
• Juice of 1/2 a lemon 🍋
• 1 Tbsp water 💦
• Few drops of sriracha🔥 *optional* (I use @fixhotsauce)
Mix all ingredients in a small dish using a fork 👏🏼
