Giving up on a goal because of one little “Oops” is like slashing your other three tires because you got a flat.
We’re all human. We all make mistakes. We all get off track. We all need more motivation then others. This is okay and it’s normal, we all go through it. But it’s getting back up and making it happen is what sets us apart from the rest. We are all fortunate enough to wake up to a new day and start over again to make it right and to get a step closer to where we were yesterday.
I’ve had my fair share of “Oops” moments and I truly believe that it’s made me a better/wiser person. So instead of being hard on yourself, start over, learn from it and move on. You have that ability.
Beef, Chicken or Salmon - Which is the right choice⁉️
🐄 - BEEF - Great source of protein, vitamin B12, zinc and creatine. However beef does contain a higher fat content (and not the healthy type!): -
🐔 - CHICKEN - Lowest fat content of the three, whilst still remaining protein dense. 120g of chicken also contains around half of your recommended vitamin B6, which allows the body to use and store energy from protein and carbs, as well as being essential for haemoglobin within the blood. -
🐟 - SALMON - Has the highest fat content of the three... But don't be fooled by that! Fish is packed with the polyunsaturated fat omega 3, which can help lower cholesterol and support health. The oils in fish also help lubricate the joints, which for someone like me that suffers with elbow tendonitis is ideal! Gram for gram it is the lowest in terms of protein, but it's most definitely one to add in as part of a balanced diet! -
🔴 In reality, there is no "right" choice. It all depends on your goals. I personally eat a lot of fish, as mentioned before it helps ease the pain in my elbows when lifting. Chicken is great for those trying to shift some body fat as it's extremely lean. I'd advise implementing all three in to your diet, as they all have their health benefits. Unless you're vegetarian or vegan of course! 😂

Qual criança não gosta de comer fast-food e algumas “besteiras” fora de casa?
Muitos pais ou cuidadores acreditam que não há nenhum mal e que essas aventuras gastronômicas (ricas em sódio, gorduras e calorias) fazem parte da infância.
O que você não sabia era que uma simples escapadinha pode ter consequências desastrosas na vida adulta.
Crianças que consomem fast-food uma vez por semana ou mais tendem a ter mais gordura corporal e mais fatores de risco para doenças cardíacas a longo prazo.
Em estudo realizado no Reino Unido e publicado no Archives of Disease in Childhood, foram avaliadas 2000 crianças de 9 a 10 anos. Aquelas que consumiam mais fast-food consumiam também mais calorias, além de ingerir menos vitaminas e minerais quando comparado com as crianças que raramente consumiam esse tipo de alimento.
Segundo a autora, Angela Donin, o consumo frequente de fast-food tem o potencial de aumentar o risco dessas crianças desenvolverem diabetes e doenças cardiovasculares no futuro devido ao aumento do LDL colesterol e da gordura corporal.
Esses alimentos ainda tem pouco valor nutricional, são pobres em fibras, vitaminas, minerais e algumas proteínas.
Recomendamos que ao sair de casa os responsáveis experimentem com as crianças opções mais saudáveis como hambúrguer vegetal com pão integral.
Outra alternativa é fazer uma alimentação saudável rica em frutas e legumes em casa. As crianças tendem a se interessar por refeições que elas ajudaram a preparar.
Trazer os pequenos para a cozinha é alegria na certa e uma ótima oportunidade para uma atividade em família!

Es momento de cambiar el chip y eliminar esa idea de nuestra cabeza de dejar de esperar ese lunes perfecto en el que el vínculo social-comida y la tentación se acaben (qué ha decir verdad nunca llegará), de dejar de planear y comenzar a actuar, de tomar mejores decisiones sin importar si es lunes o viernes o de lo bien o mal que me porte en mi última comida, recuerda que la base de una buena alimentación es justo la toma de mejores decisiones y que “CADA TIEMPO DE COMIDA ES UNA NUEVA OPORTUNIDAD”, así que no pospongas y te alejes más de tu objetivo, es momento de perseguirlo YA 💪🏻.

After a series of unfortunate events (aka failing at everything I tried to make for breakfast), I had to make up for it with a good lunch🥗 Loaded my bowl up with all the veggies + some sweet potato/kale quinoa (@rightfoods) + a fried egg on top🍳
I’m more or less stranded at my parents house until Texas defrosts❄️😂 My dental work went well yesterday, I finally got two implants after a year of procedures😁👏🏼
I also took the day completely logged off social media to honor one of my intentions, which is to take a sabbath day every week (basically a day of being fully present with the people in my life, no work or technology)❤️ It was so cool to see how much more time in the day I have and how better conversation was. God designed the sabbath FOR us to function at our best, it only makes sense to honor that☺️

Avocado Toast 4 Ways: Spice up your avocado toast game!
1. Mashed avocado - tried and true, perfect for when you’re in a hurry or when the avocado is ripe
2. Cubed avocado - mix it up, stack those cubes on up to add density to your toast

Happy #TacoTuesday 🌮❤️🙌🏼 Made this delicious Low Carb Alternative: 🍅 🥑 🍃 •Parmesan Cheese Taco Shell, Stuffed with Arugula, Scrambled Egg, Cherry Tomatoes & Avocado 😋 👀To make the Shells Simply grate about 1/4 cup of Parmesan or enough to create a round shape (the desired size of your taco shell) 👀microwave for 10-15 seconds until the cheese has melted and unified. Remove from plate and place in a mold or in between two objects for it to cool in the shape of a taco 🌮
