This book has been a favorite of my 4 year old. He loves the illustrations and asks me to read it to him daily. Can't blame him, I love it too! It's packed with information. 👍 📖
We're starting #thepeacefulpreschool back at A today and couldn't be more excited! They're starting off their Tuesday morning listening to our favorite Steve Green album and exploring a few new trays while mama finishes up some last minute prep. It'll be fun to see how their attention and engagement has matured as we make our way a little deeper into the stories and lessons we've once done before. If you're following along and you're making your way through The Peaceful Preschool, would you comment what letter you're on? I'd love to follow and see what your kids are enjoying! @thepeacefulpress 🍎🌳 #finemotor#tottrays#sensoryplay#homeschool
Don't miss the boat! ⛵️ Continuing withour Engineers Week celebrations, today's featured and discounted STEM activity is the Sailboat Challenge!
Many are familiar with the raft buoyancy challenge, and this takes it one step further by adding a sail! Now students must build a boat to hold a specific weight as well as incorporate aerodynamic principals to make it move. This is 20% off today only! Find out more here: (link in profile)
STEM fun was at a maximum yesterday! These “Krazy Gears” were SUCH a hit, and provide endless opportunities for learning through imagination and pretend play, problem solving, and utilization of engineering skills. I’d say these will likely be the hit item in our home for several weeks, and mama doesn’t mind, not one little bit 😉
This unicorn 🦄 is guarding the door to the fairy school. To open the door we need some magic dust from the unicorn's horn. Rub it, but be careful not to wake him up, and sprinkle the dust on the handle to open the door! 🎆 🎊
Этот единорог охраняет дверь в школу фей. Чтобы открыть дверь, необходимо осторожно потереть рог 🦄. На ладожке останется волшебная пыль, посыпь ею дверную ручку и можешь открывать.

Eventually completed our paper maiche creations. So proud of Blaze's concentration and technique, he did not shake once with this task.
I asked him what colour his fish would be, obviously blue. Then we Googled a blue fish, he chose one and he replicated. I only helped with the eye colour, he did this fish all on his own.
@jantie42 Blaze asked me to take a photo for you to see. He is just as proud :) #papermaiche#bluefish#crafts#painting#homeschool#bringingupblaze
B E Y O U 🌟 To the child who failed their test- you are smart. To the one who so badly wants to fit in- you are special. To the child that lost their soccer match- you are able. To the one who sat alone at lunch- you are worthy. To the child that doesn't feel heard- you are important. To the one who dresses differently- you are creative. To the child consumed with doubt- you are capable. To the one that feels different- you are unique. Our mission is to empower children to love themselves deeply, and to never allow their current state to be mistaken for a character trait. Self-love is the best love. #thepranatribe

Defying the laws of gravity? Try turning a glass of water upside down without spilling.
Place a card over the top of the glass filled with water. Quickly turn the glass upside down, holding the card in place and then, carefully let it go. This easy-to-do experiment has impressed Max the same way it impressed Alex years ago. Have you tried it yet?
Art & Craft Cart 🌈 “How do you stop them from wasting supplies?” - a question I have received lots after my stories today!
I find, children are more likely to go ravenous though a cart like this when you set no limits & expectations. Even as a Nanny there are times where I need to remind myself to take a breath, step back and let them do things for themselves - even though it’s quicker, cleaner & easier for me to do it. However, giving your Toddlers & Preschoolers the opportunity to self serve their Art & Craft supplies gives them the power of responsibility - gaining independence, self-esteem & pride.
For a Cart like this, I recommend adding a section tray (or bowl) to the top, and adding specific sized scoopers for each jar - eg: a formula scoop for beads/buttons/etc & washing powder scoop for Pom Pom’s/stickers/etc. Then pop a number on top of how many scoops they’re allowed per jar.
From 3 years old, I would allow children to do this on their own, whilst of course still supervising from a distance and offering help & reminders when needed. Have a question? Feel free to ask below! #acraftyliving_storage

What’s your favourite age? 👶🏼👧🏽👦🏼 I just love the stage typically between 1 & 2 years old when your Baby starts becoming a little person - understanding more, saying words & mimicking you.
Miss15m is quite advanced in her Language Development, so I’m always seeking ways to further foster her eagerness to learn.
We LOVE Flash Cards, so I thought I’d share a few examples of the types of flashcards that are best for each age -
Newborns: High Contrast Cards
Babies: Animals, Sounds, ‘First Words’
Toddlers: Colours, Shapes, Foods, Transport, Counting
Preschoolers: Emotions, Feelings, Days/Months, Seasons, Alphabet, Space, Numbers

Dreaming of the tropical beaches back in my homeland and then I came across this. Shells and sand are making me homesick. I totally cant wait for summer and be in one with the beach again.

It’s safe to say that our first year of homeschooling did not go as expected. Of course, nothing ever does, but being displaced from our home for the majority of the school year really threw me for a loop. // When we first moved back home in January, I set some ridiculous expectations of what school was going to look like. Basically setting myself up for failure and frustration. // So I threw everything I thought I wanted for our homeschool life out the window, and we started fresh. And once again, I was reminded of the goodness gained in letting go. // Today, as opposed to my original and ridiculous rigid schedule, we follow a simple rhythm that allows us plenty of time for scenes like this. Ace researching something like “how to adopt a dog with Down syndrome”; Archie watching Sofia the First; The Hooligans alternating between rope swinging and climbing/coloring on the wall. And I wouldn’t change a thing. #eichertribeprep#homeschool
