Spent the afternoon and evening at the Aga Khan Museum. Experienced the music exhibit and learned a bit about the origins of Islam and the beautiful heritage of ceramics and architecture. .
Ended the evening by attending the Afro Jazz performance by the Waleed Kush Ensemble at the Museum's amazing auditorium. No pictures of the incredible blended fusion magic of Sufi, African and jazz sounds. Waleed is from South Sudan and he was accompanied by Ruth, also from South Sudan. I am haunted by a song she sang about war. The event was in honor of Black History Month.
I'm gonna go to more events here!
