I want to break just a bit, enough for my heart to have a little more room" I hear those words in my head and wonder if maybe that's the reason for love. I read a story once in a Greek mythology book about man's creation. We were created with four arms, four legs, two heads and two hearts but were split because the gods deemed us too powerful. And so in that separation, we were forced to look for our missing piece. The other half. I think back to all the times I watched you break and wondered if maybe it was due to the fact we weren't in each other's lives, and although I feel cynical just on the thought alone, I know what it's like to carry the things begging you to fall apart. I know what it's like to want to break rather than bend. I know what it's like to love even when you ache. I don’t know what you’ve known. The things you’ve heard seen and felt. And if you’re interested in sharing, I’m interested in listening. But the thing I’ve found common time and time again is that sometimes our perspective however flawed and misshaped, is often due in part out of neglect from ourselves and sometimes, because of someone else’s distorted interpretation of who they perceived us to be. In which case, talks like these are not only necessary, they help reshape and build our understanding of how we are perceived, how the world perceives us, and ultimately who we really are. And who we want to be. I asked my father when i was an small man at the time and one perfect girl was bitter sweet love: How did they know? He and my mother. How does anyone know? To which he replied, “we don’t, not fully; we make choices every single day and if you make a choice with your heart in it, pay no mind to anything else, you’ll find it’s enough.
My dog told me to go. I was just about to spend my day in bed. Bad weather excuse! ✌🏻😂 But than, Rocky jumped out of the yard, waiting for my call and to open the back of the car. “Ok, ok, you won!” And we drove away! In search for the snow to escape the grey valley, we also found the sun. While he was happily running around, I took a selfie . Why not, once per year! ❄️

Bellissima, elegante Lubiana. Luci così magiche le ho viste poche volte. Fa un freddo da pelare ma la poesia di questa città mi sta ripagando di tutto ✨ 💫

Pokljuka Plateau. Photo by @dreamypixels, selected by @sanya_lt, founder of @igslovenia.
Located in Triglav National Park, Pokljuka plateau measures some 20 km in length, almost the same width and rests at an altitude of 1,300 m. It offers an amazing experience regardless of the season and is the gateway to many mountain paths. There are numerous old bear migration routes leading through the forests and the surface of the plateau is dotted with hidden shafts, sinkholes and small valleys.
Shingle covered wooden cottages are a distinguishing feature of the mountain pastures; once used as homes for shepherds and a place to make dairy products. In years past, beech tree forests covered the plateau. These were completely thinned during the 19th century for making charcoal, used to fuel iron ore smelters.
In winter Pokljuka is normally covered in thick snow, however, can still be accessed via Bohinj and Bled.
