We have a Cerec Machine! To you, that means we can do same day crown appointments. No need to send off the impressions to the lab and wait.
Why does a dentist proposes a crown?
When a tooth has less than 50% healthy tooth structure a crown is needed. A crown is indicated when the tooth is broken or has an extensive cavity where a tooth is compromised.
Why not a filling instead? The filling is use to fix a small chip or small cavity.
New year means.... insurance headaches 🤯😤😖 so I had to ask my endo for an emergency vial while insurance gets its act together. My endo is awesome. What is nerve wrecking was that she gave me her LAST sample vial. I can only imagine so many people scrabbling to stay alive with insurance just plain fucks with us. Hope everyone gets their meds! Beginning of the year is no joke. Much love to my D-Community 💕 next on my list... ordering pump supplies🤦🏻♀️ then looking into test strip trading since (of course) my Contour strips are not the “preferred” brand now. #lifeofadiabetic#insulinaddict#newyear#insuranceproblems#nightmare#stayingalive#neverending#diabadass#dlife#insulinisnotacure
The Three Legged Wonder Dog ❤️
Most of you know that this fall I had the good fortune of adopting Bunny, a magical three-legged #huskyheelermix puppy. Bunny and I are requesting assistance paying for some live-saving veterinary bills 🙏🏽 Bunny suffered a severe accident as a very young puppy, before I got her, resulting in a dislocated hip and broken femur in her hind right leg. The leg was later amputated. Soon after her amputation, once pain-free and cleared with a clean bill of health from both the rescue agency and my vet, I brought her home!
Though we got off to a great start, about one month after the adoption she started struggling with pain at her amputation site and in her left hind leg. In the last week, she’s gone from a healthy working farm dog, to loosing he ability to run, sit, climb stairs or move from laying to standing without assistance. Working with a team of vets at the Mass Veterinary Rehabilitation Hospital, we’ve come with a treatment plan to help heal Bunny and get her back on her feet.
Though I got health insurance for Bunny immediately upon adoption, her pain is deemed a preexisting condition and thus is not covered. #insuranceproblems
I stared a #crowdfundingcampaign to help pay for Bunny’s medical care. Link in my bio, please share! And thanks to everyone whose already shared or donated!!!!
Day 18: face doing well today I think! The new pimples really dry out so much faster even just 18 days into #Accutane! I’m slightly nervous about next month’s course because I started a new job and may have been a dummy about insurance sign-up and not be covered until February— if it isn’t a billion dollars I may just pay out of pocket for a month, I really don’t want to hold up the process. Ughhh, frustrating! But I’m trying not to worry too much about it, I can afford to pay out of pocket for a month if I really need to and in the grand scheme of things I’d rather do the Accutane course in the correct timeline. #accutanejourney#insuranceproblems#isnttheamericanhealthcaresystemnice#accutanediary
