Nursing a poorly littley tonight and getting my yearly festive fix of #LoveActually 😍 I've got the screenplay too and I LOVE it! Hugh Grant and Bill Nighy play fantastic characters.

It’s a snowy day and the roads aren’t the best but we managed to make it the grocery store, and most importantly, to the library to pick up our holds and restock our Christmas library books. Oh, and we grabbed a few Geronimo Stilton graphic novels for the kiddo at school. So we’re all set if we get snowed in...😉❄️
We have been having great fun reading through all the lovely feedback left by visitors to #newimpressions2017 / @beinghumanfest the other weekend @norfolk_heritage_centre. We were delighted to read that our designers' work 'made Renaissance books more approachable, easier to understand, and made me want to learn more about them'! Thanks so much to our fabulous and friendly @uealdc PhD students Elizabeth and Eleanor for encouraging everyone to share their thoughts!
It’s #FRIYAY! Comment on our picture with what you’re reading this weekend for a chance to win a free book of your choice from our book room! 📚📚📚 #whatareyoureading

Our Friday Mystery reads is "The Crossing Place" by Elly Grittiths reviewed by Jacqui and Tia
Jacqui and Tia: "Tia loved Elly Griffiths’ mystery series featuring Ruth Galloway so much that she recommended it to Jacqui. Now Jacqui loves this series, too. Why? 'Ruth Galloway, a forensic anthropologist, is a strong, independent, funny character, who gets tangled up with people -- dead and alive -- but rarely lets them ruffle her unflappable sense of self.' Tia says, 'the storyline grabs the reader immediately. The characters' juicy relationships intertwine with the mystery in a very compelling way -- Griffiths devotes equal time to the relationships, the plot, and to atmospheric Norfolk', Jacqui adds that this is one mystery series that works best when read in sequence."

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We're seeing stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We won! For ten years in a row, we've received Star Library status from Library Journal. This year, in addition to the three-star ranking which puts Champaign in the top 3.5% of public libraries nationwide, your library is also being recognized as one of only 69 U.S. libraries that have made the list every year for ten years. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful support and library love you share. We're thrilled! The

Hogwarts?!? No, just the New York public library. How beautiful is this place?

Founded by the General Assembly in 1717 to provide “two books wch (sic) shall be for ye Govr (sic) & Councill (sic) & house of representatives,” the New Hampshire State Library was the first state library in America, founded even before New Hampshire was a state and the United States a country.
As the New Hampshire State Library wraps up its 300th anniversary celebration this year, we can look back at many "firsts", but also reflects on how libraries are proud to be on the forefront of what's new. From providing digital and downloadable e-books and audiobooks, to online access of professional journals and periodicals for students and researchers, and to the vibrant community centers libraries have become - we know that New Hampshire’s libraries are well able to adjust to our patrons’ evolving needs.
Share the proud history – and future – of New Hampshire’s libraries. Visit www.nh.gov/nhsl/ to read our State Librarian Michael York's monthly Op-Ed series, view the original legislation from 1717, read Governor Sununu's proclamation naming 2017 "New Hampshire State Library Year" and more.
