My name is Aaron, i'm a photographer from the Northwest Territories in Canada a small town called Hay River.
I've been given the opportunity to take over the Universe Today and show some of work i do as a photographer, you can check out more of my stuff @aarontambourphotography
This is my first upload and in this photo i captured the aurora borealis on the Katlodeeche First Nations camp called the Sandy Creek Camp. This was on the 30th of August of 2017 in the early hours of around 2:30am MTD. Hours before the aurora became very active i decided i would go out for a drive and find open water so i could capture a reflective image of the northern lights. In sandy creek the area is well away from the town light pollution and no vehicles or people to interrupt me, so this was the perfect spot.
My equipment is just beginner stuff as i have only begun photography October of 2016.
Equipment i used are the canon rebel t6i, 14mm f2.8 rokinon lens, tripod. My settings were 6 sec at f2.8 ISO 3200.
Editing done in lightroom.
Big shout out to @universetoday#universetoday for giving me the opportunity to showcase my work on their awesome page.
