Change Your Mind = Change Your Life
These are my current #SongwritingGoals right here: “Be a lamp, a lifeboat or a ladder. Help someone’s soul heal.” - Rumi. Hopefully within these new batch songs.. a few of them will shine light into the darkness that surrounds us, serve as a harbinger of hope in the center of life’s storm… and meet people in the depths of despair along their journey towards healing. Or.. hopefully at least they sound cool. 😂😜 #HopeIsHere#LoveHasCome

@fifi_ross ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Band Name: Fiona Ross
New Release: Mistress
My new album, 'Black, White and a Little Bit of Grey', explores the story of a husband, a wife, and a mistress: a web of emotions, of desires, of regrets, of ecstasy.
Situations are not always as clear-cut as they may appear - not everything is black and white. Sometimes - when the victim becomes hazy, when pain and passion become intertwined — there’s ‘a Little Bit of Grey. The song 'Mistress' was a live vocal take in a stairwell at the studio and explores the heartache of falling in love with the wrong person.

New Story: @tiona_music_journey_
In August 2018, I released my first EP (small album) with 4 new songs professionally produced by Sweekman Productions. I also released my first music video of my single “Jesus and Coffee” this past November. My new music video will be advertise for 12 weeks at the Cinemark at Market Street Dec 2017-Feb 2018 on 5 movie screens.
With new music I was more involved this year with interviews and new gigs. So this year was learning how to find balance and put on a LIVE EP launch concert with a full band, advertise it, produce it with all the details down to LED lights, set list and create lyrics for my songs on pro presenter. I was stretched but grew so much this year.

TEAM STORYTIME |
As the team gears up to film another music video in a couple weeks (yes, that soon!), we always take the time to reflect on how much we’ve learned since producing our very first track and music video. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With close to 1 million views, Lean On is our most popular video by far, but it is certainly not the most perfect. Listening back, we can hear intonation issues, some rhythms that didn’t line up, and lots of other little details that we pick up now and again from watching and listening. While we move to the groove of our playing pretty well, on camera, our bodies don’t really carry the same charisma compared to seasoned pop artists. When we first produced our cover of Lean On, we didn’t have quite the ears we do now to listen for pitches, rhythmic alignment, and just creating a musical groove. However, the lack of knowledge and experience never deterred us. The joy that came from creating music that was so unique to our instrument excited us and we went into it head first. For us, it was about making an original reimagination of music that we all loved. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s not to say we don’t strive to play and produce our best material, but in the end, if it isn’t all perfect, it’s okay. We’re only human after all, and no human is perfect. If everyone wanted to hear perfect sounding music, robots could be built to play our clarinets instead. We definitely live in an age where we’re capable of having that happen. Part of what makes being a human so special is our ability to connect and share ourselves in a vulnerable way, and that includes showing our flaws. As musicians, it is more important to connect to our audience with our music in this kind of personal way than it is to get that “perfect” sound. We’d like to think that this is what draws our fans to our music. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you remember the first time you ever performed with a group/as a soloist? What do you remember about it and what did you learn from that experience? Share your story with us in the comments below! 🎶👇🏼
