🌍 Lucera - Italy
✒ All credits to owners
Sitauted in the region of Apulia, Lucera was an important Daunian centre and later an ally of Rome. It was conquered by the Lombard, by Byzantium, the Swabian and, in 1300, by Charles II of Anjou.
Its old centre, nestled around the Cathedral, has many interesting palaces and churches to visit, such as Palazzo Lombardi, Palazzo de' Nicastri which houses the Civic Museum and, among the churches the Gothic Church of San Francesco.
Near Lucera the Roman amphitheatre and the Church of the Madonna della Spiga with a XVI century fresco of the Madonna.
After a three-year, $176 million makeover, helmed by internationally known interior designer Jacques Garcia, @lamamouniamarrakech is reborn, more beautiful, more sumptuous, more sensual and more magical than ever before. La Mamounia takes its name from the surrounding 13-acre gardens, once called the Arset al Mamoun and named after Prince Moulay Mamoun, the son of the 18th-century ruler of Marrakech – Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah. Named to the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List as one of the 142 hotels that changed the way we see the world, La Mamounia symbolizes traditional Moroccan hospitality while epitomizing old world luxury. She is a classic example of the great age of grand hotels and trust me, they do lux well. After hiking down through farm fields overlooking Lake Atitlán, we started the decent into the village below. While walking between homes we heard a voice call out calling to our companion, Conner. A mother whose child attends the school he teaches at ran down and invited us into her home. She introduced us to her whole family, and they demonstrated to us how they make traditional hand woven goods. Each piece they make takes months too make. After they showed us, I agreed to buy one of their hand made & natural dyed blankets made by the woman featured furthest to the left. Out of appreciation they gave us each a gift to take with us. It was a really cool experience to get to see a glimpse into local life and culture. Stayed tuned for more photos from our trip!

Cricket is for sure the biggest sport in India but while being in Kerala the presence of football is greater than anywhere else in the country. Kids are playing on every field they’re able to find. Loved how this father was proudly watching his son on definitely not being the next Messi.
