An aerial view of the Icelandic Highlands in summer 🚁 The patterns in these rhyolite mountains when the snow melts can result in interesting shapes. Sometimes the ridgelines even look like orcas! During winter, these patterns are not able to be seen as the mountains are completely smothered in a deep layer of snow ☃️ Have you ever wanted to visit the mysterious, unexplored area of the Highlands? I have just put the finishing touches on a new camping photo workshop! Check out the link in my BIO for more info ☺️

There’s a stiff frost covering the garden beneath our rooms @lygoncotswolds and the fires have been smoking since seven o’clock. We have waited long enough I think. Mince pies for breakfast, please, with optional sherries.

I’m so excited and proud to share with all of you that the picture above was featured in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler. Some of you messaged me saying they found my entry in the magazine, so thank you! I’m incredibly honored that one of my photos was chosen by such an important publication, and that I was featured alongside so many talented people. @cntraveler#roomwithaview

This view of the Dolomites overlooking the Valle d’Ampezzo drew me onto my balcony for long stretches each day. I’d order up scrambled eggs and berries for breakfast and prosecco before dinner and gaze out over the valley. Sitting in the summer breeze, I started imagining what the mountains look like in winter. I’m sure they’re even more magical dusted with snow.
