DITA & I
What can I say about Dita Von Teese? I can say that I was probably aware of her existence before I was aware of Marilyn’s.
There’s no one who’s influence is probably so distinctly entrenched in my own style as hers, or someone who I grew up admiring. I’ve always wanted to look like her or Marilyn.
She’s the woman who made me want to learn winged liner and wear red lips and henceforth, was formative in the creation of my style and who I am today. My vintage style is a massive part of how I feel beautiful and she helped me with that.
Tomorrow I see @ditavonteese in person and I’m sort of overjoyed. She’s the definition of a style icon to me. I can’t afford to get my picture taken with her but just to see the Art of the Teese in person will be a privilege.
