Social media and Identity Crisis

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pin Interest, Blogger, Tumblr.. Most of us would be having all these app in our hand phone. Aren't we getting too much hooked up these widgets? Some of you may definitely disagree with my statement. I congratulate you if you are within your limits. It really disturbs me a lot when I see crimes rates due to social media.
To some extent, we are facing an identity crisis in the real world. We are in need of constant approval from people and thus our addiction to social media has multiplied. We all want to be liked by our followers, friends, strangers and the millions of people. Some want to remain anonymous and pretend to be one among the crowd, fearing the aftermath of their posts.
It is our identity that defines who we are. It doesn't have to define us for life. Let us keep our mind open, but not too open, towards change.
