Folks if you think you're doing yourself a favour by consuming an inexpensive vinaigrette dressing, think twice : Soy bean oil (gmo) & oxidized cheap quality , heavily treated with chemicals and estrogenic
Canola oil oxidized and cheap quality , increases LDL
Sugar, xanathan gum = sugar fig juice concentrate = sugar acetylated monoglycerides = sugar
You're way better off by making your own simple dressing with less ingredients: ✅ cold pressed olive oil ✅ balsamic vinaigrette
✅ your own herbs and spices
And that's it!
These budget brands use cheap cheap oil that's already going bad filled with free radicals because it's already oxidized . Not to mention when it's in a plastic container.
Healthy choices are available, you just have to be aware! #qualityoverquantity#cheapoils#rancid#oxidized#freeradicals#healthyalternative#homemade#saladdressing

Greek Salad! The star of this salad isn’t the salad itself but the dressing!! If you eat chicken, you can add shredded chicken instead of the chickpeas. Is my husband favorite salad!
Measurements for dressing:

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup mayo
1 tablespoon dill
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

You’re only a couple of minutes away from a sauce that can make any dish shine! Grab your Mason jar and get ready to shake, because our Mustard Herb Vinaigrette will go great tossed with tonight’s chicken or salad. 📸: @mattarmendariz | recipe: @whatsgabycookin | food styling: @adamfoodstyle
Here are four of my go-to SALAD DRESSINGS. You can find all of these recipes on my website.
One of the best ways to make raw veggies more interesting and eat more leafy greens is to pair them with delicious dressings. I like to create nutrient-dense dressings that are bursting with layers of flavor and color. I mix things up every day not only for nutrient diversity but for taste bud satisfaction. I use a variety of oils, vinegars or citrus juices, herbs, spices, and often (but not always) a creamy element. What's your go-to salad dressing?
📍HOW TO MAKE A FAT LOSS SALAD📍
Before I get too far into this, know that I'm NOT saying the ingredients/toppings on the left are "bad" or "unhealthy." If you're just wanting a nutritious meal and aren't concerned with weight loss, pretty much all salad ingredients & toppings are fair game.
So if someone does have an issue with me recommending lower calorie salad ingredients & toppings, you can comment down below, but I’m ONLY going to respond if you start you comment with “DinkerDongSmorgasMcGee.” That’ll let me know you’ve ready the description of this post before sharing your criticism 🤓
Now, back to the post...
Salad is healthy. I think we can both agree on that. But when you're trying to lose weight and control your total calories, things change a bit...
Reason being, there are a lot of "healthy ingredients" that you can add to your salad that come packed with a hell-of-a-lot of calories.
Some of the most notable are high-calorie dressings, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, & full-fat cheese.
Like I said, none of those things are necessarily bad for you. It's just a matter of them having a buttload of calories which *might* lead you to go over your calorie totals for the day (or at least take up a significant amount of your daily budget)
When prepared correctly, salad can be nutritious but also low in calories, high in protein, and super filling at the same time. -
Here are some of my recommendations:
✅ Use LEAN protein sources (high-protein, low-calories, all that good stuff)
✅ Opt for Low-Calorie Dressings (and make sure you're still measuring how much you use)
✅ Use Low-Calorie Toppings (this will add some crunch-factor and variety to the mix)
