It’s been a loooong winter. The #sun was out yesterday and it turned out to be the first good #busking session of the year!
Glad I got to make a lot of people smile. :) If you happen to have any photos or videos of me busking please share!

Technically, behind the (piano) music are just hammers on a soundboard, but give them your heart and soul and they'll turn into little fairies bringing magic into the air!

Just another impromptu street music band at the French Quarter with temps in 80s. Some history, The French Quarter, also known as the Vieux Carré ("Old Square") or Vieux Carré Historic District, is the oldest section of the City of New Orleans. Founded in 1718 by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, New Orleans developed around the Vieux Carré, the city's central square. Today, the district is commonly known as the French Quarter, or simply "the Quarter," a reflection of the diminished French influence after the Louisiana Purchase #frenchquarter#nola#neworleans#louisiana#music#musicband#street#streetmusic#bourbonstreet#bourbon#summer#no#bigeasy#thebigeasy
Sometimes you experience things that you weren’t prepared to experience and that’s what makes it all the more enjoyable.
Last night I went to an absolutely awesome experimental, improvisational electronic/classical/traditional fusion performance without having any particular expectations. But I have to say that @niki.yaghmaee and @golsana.cello didn’t at all fail to impress. I definitely suggest you listen to their music which is a very unique style.
Music lovers will know what I mean when I say it’s really great to get to experience a totally new genre of music that you have never heard before. These two amazing musicians (their duo is called @duos2strings) have formally studied music and have been playing since they were children and they play in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. On this post I only have Niki’s solo performance. But you can see their duo performance in my story.
But they have also been playing on the streets of Tehran, the capital of Iran for over 7 years. This is something that wasn’t very common back then, especially for female musicians to play in the streets. But they were pioneers and have endured all the hardships and enjoy what they do. niki was saying that he enjoys playing in the streets more than anything and he thinks every citizen should be able to listen to live music. Whenever the two want to let their emotions free they take to the streets and play some amazing music.
