Hey friends👋🏽 I’m so excited to share that I’ll be living and working in San Fransisco for the next 6 months! It’s a big change for me. As you all know I’m always on the move traveling far and wide but I’m definitely looking forward to this new chapter in SF!—— PS. If anyone has or knows of a studio for rent in the city shoot me a DM!
Want to know what should be just as free as America? Your thighs. That's why we created the Finner Beaver. Slap these baby's on and you'll be screaming "FREEEDOMMMMMM!" louder and prouder than Mel Gibson in Braveheart. Bald eagle not included. #partypants#permanentvacation
Wisdom bomb from a four year old, upon our conversation about searching for Indian Paint Brush flowers ... “We were looking for them, but, we would never pick them. If you pick them, they won’t grow.” 💜🌻👏 @jessehermreck & Meli you’ve got a good one.
THE NEXT GEN🎈
I don't know about you, but I will never pass up the opportunity to hang with the lil homies. ALL children (yes even those ones you could think came from hell 😂) are little walking beacons of light & hope.
Kids are lights everywhere they go because of their smiles. Any lil homie will light up the room just by grinning cheek to cheek. They represent hope because they represent the next generation. They are the hope for the future... Heart check: What are you investing into? ·
Daniel Jr. here is one special kid. His story will rattle people's lives one day. I see it in him!! I look back at when I was a kid and laugh at times. I betcha if you asked my mama, she'd tell you more often than not I was practically that kid from "hell" 😂 Just makes me amazed to think of all the people who said "yes" to sowing into my life. Anyways... Even as adults we can be kids at times! What's your whimsy level at today?
#THEREISMORE for the next gen 🙌
Let's cut through the sky right here, so we can see if it's as much fun on the other side as it is right here.
I've been thinking about the idea of "hate" lately. Hate is such an easy thing to create and consume. We try to hide it, but we probably have all exercised it.
Hating your ex, noisy neighbor, politicians, being stereotyped due to skin or gender, perverted coworkers, rude baristas, cop who arrested you, miserable workplace where you feel stuck while others have moved on, and even yourself for other reasons. It's easy to hate.
You may not use the word "hate", though your actions probably represent exactly that. Hell, we even hate something as trivial as an app update (hello, Snapchat). Citing anything as a reason or cause while being miserable, unhappy, angry, crying regularly, running away from people or work or situations to find temporary peace, complaining without action, etc. They're all usually some form of hatred.
Most people don't wake up wanting to hurt others. Yes, there are people who are fully happy with your unhappiness and discomfort for the sake of their own physical or mental pleasure. Get rid of those people from your life. There are also stupid people who will actually dumb down your life because of their stupidity and selfishness. Help them without expecting anything, or cut them off too. It's better to delete than to hate.
For everyone else, you can always try before "hating". Even your bully of a boss may have genuinely sincere reasons for their behavior. Why not find out why to see how that situation can change? Your life will only change when something is done about it. Otherwise, it means you are content enough to not try anything to get the alternative.
I'm not saying it will all work out in the end: in life, it usually does not more often than it does. But try.
Absence of hatred is peaceful. "Easier said than done", I hear you. But have you tried? I guarantee you trying anything besides just hating helps.
You can't be fully happy in anything without absence of hatred in that thing, whether it's life or a part of it.
Happy Friday! Whisper is recovering well.
