You know that you’re obsessed with the Moon and all aspects of our solar system when you decide to name your new car Polaris because it reminds you of the night sky.
Polaris, or the North Star, is a part of Ursa Minor and is also directly across the upper-right corner of Ursa Major.
I intend to make a small altar inside. So far I have added some crystals that represent protection and calmness. I love that the car also has a moon-roof (quite the appropriate name) that I will take advantage of both moon and sun-bathing!

Many of you know about the Big Dipper - a very notable star figure in the night sky, but only few know, that it is only a part of a giant constellation Ursa Major (big bear in latin 🐻✨). There is a big galaxy cluster in that direction, so one can see a dozen quiet bright galaxies with some unique features.
For example M101 "the Pinwheel galaxy", well-known between astronomers for her bright spiral arms 🔭. (Swipe left!)
Did you know that in roughly 50,000 years, the Big Dipper, one of the most easily recognizable asterisms of the night sky, will no longer be visible in its current shape? Yep, it will completely change its shape and face the opposite way.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the view while you still can 🥂😋
"Haronsal" or Haronsal Bartellan for his full name and just like Naritsune and Kyray he can't understand why he has ended up as a potential "Selected Celeste."
If anything all he did was pick up a glittering ticket at a competition in his home realm of Farrismarrai (sun, sea, olives and lavender) and probably would have forgotten about it if the Council hadn't tracked him down.
A holiday would have been a surprise, or prize money so Haronsal could get a few more caskets of snow ginger from the merchant from Gelervindon (people go mad for it in Meronese).
But no, it had to be a place that people speak about in fairy tales and is literally not in this world (although no one had told him about the delicious food and drink).
He only said yes since there was a chance of getting some 'prizes'. Plus if Naritsune, Feldaner and Kyray are all going he might as well go too and get some lessons in knocking opponents out (might come in handy against sone of the characters he comes up against in one or two warehouses back home).
The name Callisto sounds familiar, like Virgo and Andromeda. But from what Haronsal can remember Callisto's constellation - the mighty Ursa Major - is supposed to be a great long-tailed bear.
Does that mean that if things get dangerous in Outer-whats-it, Callisto will come down and take out whatever is coming for Haronsal or, if he doesn't succeed, he will end up getting more than an after-existence telling off? Questions questions...
Fiver Friday!! This weekend only, you can grab my galaxy glitter Ursa Major pin for half off! 🎉 .
This pin was one of my first designs when I started MoPins almost a year ago. It’s had 4 variants since then and I’m planning on adding more celestial themed goodies to the shop soon 💫
Thank you all for the love and support over this past year, it’s been so much fun 😁
Did you know that there's Ursa Major necklaces up in the shop as well as pins? These are available in black and black mirror 👀 £15, or you can get an Ursa Major gift set including a pin! 🖤
Life is a bit hectic at the moment! I've not been well this week, and we went to see the house this morning - keys on Monday and moving in over the next week! Eek! I'm around a bit more on stories and DMs 🖤

It’s #Hubble Sunday!
The #Universe contains some truly massive objects. Although we are still unsure how such gigantic things come to be, the current leading theory is known as hierarchical clustering, whereby small clumps of matter collide and merge to grow ever larger.
This particular #cluster is called #Abell665. It was named after its discoverer, George O. Abell, who included it in his seminal 1958 cluster catalogue. Abell 665 is located in the well-known northern constellation of #UrsaMajor (The Great Bear). This incredible image combines visible and infrared light gathered by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope.
Abell 665 is the only galaxy cluster in Abell’s entire catalogue to be given a richness class of 5, indicating that the cluster contains at least 300 individual galaxies. Because of this richness, the cluster has been studied extensively at all wavelengths, resulting in a number of fascinating discoveries — among other research, Abell 665 has been found to host a giant radio halo, powerful shockwaves, and has been used to calculate an updated value for the Hubble constant (a measure of how fast the Universe is expanding). 📸: ESA/Hubble & NASA, CC BY 4.0

The Big Dipper (well, at least part of it) next to the fortress at Enisala, Romania. It’s the only medieval citadel still standing in Dobrogea, one of the historical provinces of Romania.
constellations as people: yet another nice collab i did with the people that are tagged in the pictures (all of which deserving of checking out😉😏). swipe to see them all🐯🌻🍯 also, are you a day person or a night person?? i definitely prefer the night, i adore just sitting and staring at the stars
