So many of you ask me: how do you do it? This question is probably the one I get the most during high season, when we have 3/4 weddings per week with editing, emailing, timelines... so here is how I personally do it:
1. My husband. He is my rock during busy season. He cooks lunches before I go to work, dinners when I come back at night, gives me chamomile teas at 11pm when I’m still editing, keeps the house clean, and most of all looks after our 4 year old boy. I’m so lucky he works from home and when high season kicks in for me he knows how to support me 100%. I’m so thankful to have him in my life!
2. I love my job. I’m currently working 70 hours a week. And I know you think it can’t be true, but I love it. I love the happiness on Wedding days, seeing my couples laugh and cry of joy, I love taking and editing images, I love receiving their emails and messages, I love creating albums.. someone one said “find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” and this resonates so much with me!! 3. My couples. All of this is for my couples. Images are the only thing that will be left from their wedding day. I’ve got this idea, that may be morbid for some of you, that the images I take today will last longer than me. One day one of my couples’ great grand daughter or maybe in 300 years someone will find an image I took.. isn’t it magical?!?
