First time rock climbing in a national park. Its kind of funny to be so in the moment - crimping the rock with two fingers as hard as you can, hoping you can make the next bolt without falling twenty five feet to be whipped into the face of the rock, slowly recollecting yourself and exhaling before you make the next move to a quarter sized edge in the rock - just to turn around and see 15 tourists taking photos of you 60ft below. To the horrified parents of the small children pointing at me screaming “I want to do that” - sorry, not sorry. Hope your kids grow up cooler than you 😉 Monolith wall - Foreplay 5.11b
Finally worked out how fasten my camera to my climbing harness! Hopefully now I can better share some of the beautiful things that I’m inspired by every time I climb. Swipe right to see some of the views of pinnacle national park from on top of the rocks. 🧗♀️

I love living on the island, just to know you have to ability to go skiing and surfing in the same day (if you're determined enough 😂) is amazing. There's also all the beautiful nature and wildlife that is always so great to relax and watch. I can't think of a better place to live than right where I am now.

What is it? Hmmm hard to define but easy to know when you’re in it. To me, flow is a beautiful state of super synchronicity that seems to transcend time and space while filling me up with energy and light. In flow, all of our senses are hyper tuned and we experience the ultimate synch in our thoughts and movements. Our actions come from some place deep inside our subconscious and seemingly outside of our control. Yet everything seems effortless, clear, simple and fluid. When we are in flow, we move in a rhythm we didn’t know we were capable of. Time disappears and magic happens. Woah. That sounds pretty rad, right? I’m listening to The Rise of Superman right now and it’s allll about the art and science of the flow state, particularly in adventure sports. Turns out there are some pretty cool things that can facilitate this awesome state both individually and in group flow. ✨
Personally, I feel flow when I’m connected to supernatural energy, immersed completely in the present (both alone and with others), moving my body rhythmically and repeatedly (ie ultra or making circles on my bike or flow yoga), listening to loud flowy beats, doing something creative that I love (editing photos, making movies, writing etc), meditating and doing something high stakes takes me there instantly too ( skydiving anyone?)...so many ways to access flow! ✨
How about you??
Put your hand up if you’ve experienced a taste or a full meal deal experience of flow👍🏻. And, if yes, how did you access this state? Can you create it on your own? If so, how? Thanks for sharing, friends!
Going through some stuff from last year... This is from Heceta Head.

Happy Islander Day! I am beyond lucky to get to call Prince Edward Island home. Despite currently being 4,500km away, PEI always feels close. It soaks into your soul. The second question you get asked while backpacking is where are you from. I am so proud to say PEI and get so excited to spread the love of the Island. Many of the travelers I meet from all over the world have never heard of little PEI. But don’t worry, after a quick few minutes they’ve heard all about its magic and beauty 😊❤️🌊

Playing around with different perspectives is one of my favorite things to do when I'm taking pictures. It could be something as simple as taking a picture through a broken window but it brings so much more to the photo.
Beauty day travelling and digging in the snow. Even after 5 years of working full time as an avalanche technician I still wake up stoked everyday to go to work In beautiful places like this. Check out my buddy @kayak_cole at @we.thrive.outdoors to find an opportunity to work in the outdoors doing something you love. #wethriveoutdoors
