Happy wine Wednesday! If you're looking for a great white wine, I highly recommend the Cup and Rings. This Godello is fruity and soft after being aged on fine lees.
Their Albariño is also exceptional, with lots of citrus freshness.

It’s our favorite day of the week: #winewednesday 🎉 we’re celebrating with a bottle of our #amaronedellavalpolicella 🍷
In Italian, Amarone literally means "the Great Bitter"
Fun fact: originally, this was to distinguish #Amarone from the Recioto also produced in Veneto, which tastes sweeter.

The 2016 Domaines François Lurton Vin de Pays d'Oc #LesHautsdeJaneil#Rosé de #Syrah is summer in a bottle - a welcomed break from the winter bleak. It has all the quintessential elements of a Rosé, but with a little extra oomph from the Syrah. Get #EarlyAccess by clicking the link in bio.
#RBWS taste profile: crisp, bright, strawberry and hay, clean mineral finish.
What we’re drinking now: this Vino Rosso from Il Palazzone. This wine is unusual in that it’s essentially a declassified Brunello, and it’s blended from several vintages. It has all the characteristics of Montalcino and Sangiovese, but with the fruit and freshness of a Rosso di Montalcino. 🍷 #amalinyc
Such a clever way to aerate a wine!🍷

Casual Thursday drinking.🍷Almost the weekend!!🙌🏼
Loving on this red blend from @stagsleapwinecellars, 2013 Hands of Time.🤚Very affordable too, around $28-$35 a bottle!
I loved how this wine evolved with time! Initially, perfume floral notes and hints of grassiness stood out, eventually fading a bit...while the herbal, boysenberry, licorice and spice aromas lingered.
Flavors of dark fruit, cassis, chocolate and a bit of graphite. Delicious! Not surprised the bottle was empty so quickly.😏Cheers!!🍷🍷 #mywine#thirstythursday#stagsleap#blend@the_buffing_winos

Sunday funday!🤗Smiling because it’s a three day weekend!! Who else is lucky enough to have tomorrow off??
Enjoying one of my favorite affordable Cabernets from @rsvineyards. Aromas of cherry, pepper and baking spices. Lovely tannins, earthy goodness on the palate including spice and soft oakiness. Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friends, cheers!😘 #rodneystrong#cabernet#nordstrom

Brought our favorite wine with us! @arafanelliwinery ✨💫✨
Best if decanted. Blackberry, oak, and subtle pepper. Well rounded, dances nicely on the palate with smooth tannins. This isn’t a wine to rush. Take your time. Loved sipping and swishing this around and taking in all the rich flavors. What wine are you drinking tonight??🍷 #tgifridays#arafanelli#cabernet#slc
Ironically I think this is the first glass swirling pics I've posted 😳 Taken at the awesome @humblegrapewine Battersea 😊🍷
I’m currently planning my next two trips away, first to Paris and then to the Alsace. Both will involve a lot of wine drinking and tasting, which got my thinking back to my first ever winery visits over in Marlborough, New Zealand. A friend and I spent an epic day biking around the vineyards (we slowed as the day progressed). This LP wine guide is a nice table book, but if I’m honest, slightly lacked the depth that I was hoping for. I will probably stick to using Jancis Robinson’s World Atlas for my route plans, particularly as my wine travel style is DIY with minimal driving and no tour guides!
I’d love to hear about your favourite wine travel experiences and any recommendations!
(PS this is a soft and simple Sauvignon - a safe supermarket bet. OK, enough alliteration.)
