I was pretty sick around two weeks agi. I had a sore throat, a horrid cough, stuffy nose, and my energy was completely depleted. I had to take Dayquil and Nyquil to make it through.
If you know me, one of the biggest things for me is taking medicine. I HATE it. I will push my limits to see how far I can go with out it, and usually I can. But this time I caved. I felt that lousy.
Once I was on the mend and making steady progress toward full health I sent my partner out to get me as many of these cuties as he could. Luckily he didn't take me seriously, but still came home with a three pound bag.
I LOVE them. They are so tasty and I know I'm getting enough vitamin C.
In this day and age, we run our bodies to the ground. We push and push and push. We hustle hard to make money, most of the time burning ourselves out. I'm there. I'm pushing through it too.
But I'm also making a conscious choice to take care of my myself- mind body and soul. Each facet of me gets focus from me now, and you know what? It's making a huge difference. Self love and mindfulness are so critical to actually leading the life YOU want.

We had a lovely dinner at the Flint House @flinthouseff for my 46th birthday!! 🎂 The battered shrimp melted in my mouth, and my steak was done perfectly. Sarah gave us great service, and even knew how to properly present and open a bottle. (No small feat in this neck of the woods!) Granted, the #malbec was still served too warm at 73°+, we remedied that with an ice bucket for a few minutes, with no complaints. 🍷We love our 🇨🇦 neighbors! And the exchange rate on their $$!

Champagne Lombard - Grand cru blanc de blanc NM.
Champagne Lombard has since 3 years a very qualitative approach with parcellar selection, low dosage, long maturity in cave (up to 5 year) and elevage in wood.
Their blanc de blanc is a parcel selection from Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly, Cramant and Avize. This brut nature (0g/l) spent 48 to 60 month on laths which brings a lot of finesse and complexity in the wine.
On the nose, almonds (crushed almonds, almond paste, frangipane season right ?), pineapple & apple (fresh and flambéed 🔥), butter, brioche, roasted bread and torrefaction.
In mouth the roundness is equilibrated by an elegant acidity and accompanied by fine and delicate bubbles. Same aromas present + agrums (green lemon, lemon juice).
With a long finish this champagne is a very good one 🍾. It worth the try 🙌
