So I learned this new term today: FoMO, which means fear of missing out. It's defined as the anxiety that an exciting or interesting event may currently be happening elsewhere. Big surprise, this anxiety usually stems from social media. As a photographer and business owner, I constantly find myself using social media to stay connected with everyone and get my work out there (hence this post 😉), and am bombarded with pictures of beautiful places and exciting events. I just wanted to take a second to remind myself (and all of you!), that it's important to focus on what makes you happy, and to stop comparing yourself to others. Plus, what people post on social media is what they want you to see, the good times, the cool places, the fun events. That doesn't mean their lives are always "perfect," and that's okay. In order to appreciate the good times, we all have to go through some hard times. And that's the end of my rant! What do you guys think? How many of you have experienced FoMO? 🙋🏼
Run, Forrest, Run! 🏃🏼
Scott + Collette here racing through the famous Wormsloe Historic Site in Savannah, GA. Wormsloe is most known as the filming location for Forrest Gump 🎥. The site has a grand entrance with two rows of large live oak trees covered in Spanish moss that seem to go on forever. This plantation actually dates back before our constitution was signed!
