It’s Friday and it’s time to celebrate because: 1. It’s warm!!!! AND 2. I’ve accepted a NEW JOB! I’m excited to announce that I’ve accepted the role as the Executive Director of Serenity Knoll Farm’s soon-to-be-launched cooking school! It will the the Tri-Cities’ first regularly scheduled location hosting cooking workshops for all skill levels! While I’ll be teaching some classes in subjects I’m strong in, we are excited to have already partnered and continue to form partnerships with local farms, restaurants, chefs, etc to teach classes. It will be community focused, farm to table deliciousness! Not only that, but we’ll host events, weddings, fundraising dinners, kids’ cooking and/or farming camps, and more. This adventure is a dream come true for me. I can’t thank @serenityknoll enough for believing in me and sharing an incredible vision! Here we go! Stay tuned for more soon - we aim to launch early summer! (If you’re a local chef/restaurant, DM me if you’d be interested in meeting up to discuss partnership!)

Lucky me is eating my way around Sydney this weekend. Just had the loveliest lunch at this restaurant right on Manly beach over looking the sea. Pictured is the caprese salad. I also had one of the nicest and freshest crab pastas. Ah I love you Sydney @thepantrymanly
Tip of the week: Snow + Friday night calls for a Not So Gentle Cocktail!
3 ounces of the Huntsman herbal tea brewed and chilled
1 tablespoon honey (or agave nectar)
2 ounces Spiced Rum
1/2 ounce freshly-squeezed lemon juice
Lemon slice, for garnish
Combine all ingredients, except the lemon wedge, in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with the lemon wedge.
WARNING: Do not operate Ol' Bessy when consuming this beverage!

Another bombdish #meal from today. This I introduce to you was my #dinner tonight - I’m on a roll in the #kitchen - was #craving Chinese so I took matters into my own hands & my whole fam enjoyed this as well. Sautéed sesame #sugarfree orange chicken. Here’s my recipe - I had to write this down as I threw stuff in so I could make it again.
RECIPE for fam of 4 or meal prepping will yield you at 4oz about 8 meals give or take
3-4 lb chicken strips cut into pieces
1C SF Orange marmalade
1C SF BBQ sauce
2T coconut amino (sub low sodium soy)
1t rice wine vinegar
1T crushes red pepper
1t minced garlic
1t ground ginger
Heat thru til bubbly & simmer on low 10 min. Sauté chicken in coconut or olive oil, salt & pepper. Pour sauce on chicken & serve over basmati rice, top w/ sesame seeds & green onion. This made extra sauce so tomorrow I will be having w/ shrimp

Eating the shortcut version of daufufa, sweetened tofu. I use silken tofu straight out of the packet and add it to the boiling ginger syrup. I find the flavour and texture is as good as making the tofu using the powdered packets. It's not as super silky and wobbly as the yum cha versions but still felt good and so easy and fast to make. So comforting to eat this. #daufufa
