We had another wonderful visit this week from the young men at St. Andrew's College. These smart, polite and inquisitive youth were here as part of our educational program and spent time learning about the Sanctuary, the animals that call it home and the interconnectedness we share with all life on this earth. Thank you for spending time with us! 'If you want real peace in the world, start with children' ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Three beautiful, if malnourished horses arrive home at Wishing Well Sanctuary!
A mother and her two offspring, a gelding and a mare, made the long trip home from Rimouski to Bradford... their safe haven!
Having been rescued once from sever neglect, they were all rescued and were able to put on weight, heal and relax. This was their foster home. They were then sent to a place that was supposed to be wonderful but turned out to be a nightmare for all of the animals there, many of whom died from abject neglect!! Once this horrific situation was discovered, Rose from Refuge-RR moved into action to remove all of the animals and find them homes.
Saturday Nov. 25th, Esperanza, Amira and Flash finally made it to Wishing Well Sanctuary; their forever home!
They are settling in beautifully although Penny and Sweet Pea are a bit piqued at having been displaced; they don't realize that it's but temporary!! We are naturally hoping that the five horses will bond and become one beautiful family!! The new horses (whose names may change, once we see their personalities) need to put on considerable weight, especially the Mom, they need the farrier in short order and naturally, what we have oodles of... LOVE!!! We were delighted to have been able to share the exciting moments of the horses' arrival with our tour guests; a thrill for us all!! Become a sponsor of one of these horses, or any of the animals that Wishing Well Sanctuary home today! Your donations help us feed, shelter, provide veterinary care and support our programming.
